Yeah sure. I grew up with a bunch of hippies, new agers, etc. My grandparents were sort of Catholic still but never really devout. My grandmother took me to a really cool cathedral for mass in Mexico once, which was pretty cool. I always was pretty much an atheist, including a time where I was the cringy edgelord type. I watched the whole new atheist crowd go full on islamophobic and that kinda made me course correct, accepting that people can actually have a healthy relationship with their faith (liberation theology is pretty based).
Unfortunately my mom has gone pretty far down the new age to Qanon pipeline, so I certainly treat some forms of spiritual beliefs with a healthy amount of disdain when it turns people into reactionaries.

I should have been more precise in my wording. It is fine to discuss the case and the person but I just want people to stop arguing over what he allegedly did and nitpicking to death how it relates to his politics because we don't even know it is him and it leads to a lot of petty arguments and takes that make many of our comrades uncomfortable here.
Like it's fine to discuss the case and all but it should not come with any assumptions of him actually being the guy
