- Reminder: dunk posts go in /c/the_dunk_tank and /c/cth is NOT for low-hanging-fruit that's removed from dunk_tank
We've seen an uptick in people posting dunks in here that belong in dunk_tank, as well as low-hanging fruit that gets removed from or isn't allowed in dunk_tank anymore. For context, rule 8 of dunk_tank:
>Rule 8: The subject of a post cannot be low hanging fruit, that is comments/posts made by a private person that have low amount of upvotes/likes/views. Comments/Posts made on other instances that are accessible from hexbear are an exception to this.
There's a reason that dunks are cordoned off to their own comm, some users rightfully don't want to see reactionary nonsense all the time, even if we're making fun of the person who said it. /c/cth is a general-purpose comm but it's NOT for posting some random nobody asshole twitter user's bad takes, the absolute best course of action to take when you see that stuff out in the wild is to either directly shit on them yourself, or ignore them and don't give them more attention.
From this point on I'm going to be more stringent about moderating this. I get it, it's fun to dunk on the libs and the blue checks and the !frothingfash and that's why we have a whole dedicated comm for that. Any post that's obviously meant to be "hey look at this piece of shit, let's laugh at how bad their opinions are, upbears to the left and emojis in chat" belongs in the_dunk_tank. And any super low-hanging fruit doesn't belong on this site, period (see TDT rule 8 above). We have better things to do with our time than give unearned attention, time and energy to low-follower-count nobodies yelling into the void.
Thanks for your discretion comrades, stay sicko !sicko-jammin
edit: as others have pointed out, /c/shitreactionariessay@lemmygrad.ml is a good place for any and all dunking content not allowed here. Post that ragebait to our comrades at the 'grad, they'll make good use of it. Also, per rule 9 of TFT dunking on fediverse users is still explicitly allowed so it's still open season on those in our own backyard.
- [CW: suicidal ideation/self harm] PSA: Don't fucking suicide bait.
This is on my mind, since I had to temp-ban someone from c/vegan for it in the past week, and another example of it went unmoderated for hours after being reported in another community (though it was eventually dealt with).
It doesn't matter how much the person you're responding to deserves it. Odds are, they will not care. But you know who will care? Any comrades who happen to read the thread and who struggle with suicidal ideation and/or self harm. You could ruin their day. You could be the push that sends them over the edge. Even in the unlikely event that you cause grief to the person you're responding to, no amount of collateral damage is worth it.
Don't make suicide bait posts or comments. Don't upvote suicide bait posts or comments. Report and denounce them wherever they show up.

- Again I circle back to the humane option for dealing with chuds is putting them in pleasure cubes they can never escape from.
It hooks them up to a VR simulation of 1950's america and they're the abusive husband to a hot wife and two kids. Racism is alive and well and the USA and white people by extension run the world.
They can never leave, much like the matrix they're locked into the simulation for life but it's more humane than wholesale genocide because let's face it, a lot of people in the USA deserve it.

- Hillary Clinton was never some competent, savvy leader
It’s amazing to me that libs have deified this woman, like she has proven to be the very model of smart leadership. That she was the most qualified, deserving person to ever run for president. A quick recap of how she got where she did.
She is famous for being married to Bill Clinton. That’s it, that’s her origin story. Married to a president. Just hitched her wagon to the right person. She tried to make a name for herself by making healthcare her issue, but she got criticized pretty hard in the media because spouses of the president are supposed to make some uncontroversial issue their cause (probably some degree of sexism there but then again I’m sure most people don’t want to hear from Kamala’s dopey ass husband).
From there she was able to leverage her fame to be anointed to one of NY’s senate seats. It wasn’t a challenging contest, the Clinton connections in the party is what got her the spot.
But senators don’t have to actually lead or do things, they just vote. So that’s all she did until she ran for president in 2008 and ate shit. She got to be SoS because Obama probably didn’t feel he had any choice. This was Clinton’s first job with real responsibility, and she fucked it royally (Libya was the big one but there were others I’m sure). Then she lost another election because who could know that swing states are important to win, and had been wandering around that woods in her neighborhood ever since. Except when she surfaces in order to go on TV and suggest that anyone who spreds “Russian disinformation” should be locked up.
This is not a person who has proven to be competent at anytjing. I firmly believe that no American president or presidential candidate from the last few decades who make it past like, local village leadership in the CPC. That’s a system where you actually do have to prove your capability and get things done.
I hope a thousand years from now, when people talk about the fall of the American empire like we talk about Rome, when they get to the chapter on incompetent leadership I do hope that Hillary Clinton gets a mention.

- Lib doublethink on the power of voting
After some months thinking about the nature behind the "vote blue no matter who" and the "every non-vote is a vote for trump" and the "single-issue voters are dumb", I've come to realize that libs simply are doublethinking about the power of votes in the US.
The lib doublethink on voting power is as follows: The votes of some leftist minority are powerful enough to tilt the elections one way or the other. Simultaneously, the votes of those leftists, and of the rest of anti-genocide libs, aren't powerful enough make the Dems shift to bringing a stop to the genocide.
If the US is supposedly somewhat of a democracy, they can both tilt the elections and influence democratic party policy by doing so.
If the vote is useless and they can't change the policy of democrats by conditioning their vote to a stop to genocide, then they don't live in a democracy and voting to either party simply amounts to enabling genocide in an anyway undemocratic system

- Liberals only appear to be opposed to transphobia or any form of bigotry for that matter when the guise of this opposition serves them.
This effort for liberals to try to convince decent people to cast a ballot for a genocide-funding cop has made me see some disturbing scratched liberal moments.
One "argument" that liberals abuse the shit out of is that they argue that not voting for Harris is rooted in being a privileged individual who doesn't understand how disgustingly harmful Trump and Project 2025 will be for the underprivileged.
As a transfem, I can sometimes feel like "Schrödinger's trans person" when it comes to libs that try to guilt trip people into voting for Harris for the sake of "protecting marginalized people." I've had people assume, on multiple occasions and on the basis of my race and gender identity alone, that I back Kamala. Sometimes in these instances, I feel hesitant bringing up the truth for the sake of "keeping the peace."
Liberals will hear a trans person make their case for why they support Harris and how they expect her to protect trans rights. Liberals will cheer a person like this on, and they will point to this person to say that those who refuse to vote (D) out of the bare minimum conviction of opposing settler colonialism do not understand how bad marginalized people have it.
However, if I, as a trans person, but not only a trans person, but a black neurodivergent, broke ass transfeminine enby in Florida, affirm that I refuse to vote for Harris, liberals will double down on transphobia and find some way to tie me being trans into some "maleness" that makes me unable to sympathize with the underprivileged. !brow
This is so vile that it sounds like a strawman, but let's just say that... when you're interacting with anonymous liberals on social media who don't have to worry about getting their shit knocked out when they say insensitive stuff, you get what you pay for.
Mask-off liberal moments like this actually make me feel a lot more justified than I already am in how distrustful I can be of these awful pieces of shit.
