to be fair: it is singles, I was referencing the doubles aside as a general "you should be aware of the scope of the data you plan to work with so you aren’t wasteful" lecture.

to not be fair: you should probably not be using that much depth for predictive text weights when you're working with petabytes of data, like, be so fucking for real here, did it not occur to you that may be an unnecessary bottleneck

zoomerposting but iirc diary of a wimpy kid is written to be very grounded personalities-wise. the comedy in these books is derived from all of the characters being flawed in some notable ways and those flaws intersecting to create inane situations in an otherwise-realistic setting. The first book is essentially Greg’s unrelated-yet-consistent bouts of Main Character Syndrome coalescing into an incident in which to not totally fuck things up beyond repair, under duress, he has to eat a slice of moldy cheese that has been attached to the pavement for at least a decade.

there’s an element of farcicality on both sides of this where Rodrick tends to be disengaged and edgy, and Susan is overcorrecting and IIRC pretty puritanical, so it leads to this situation. It’s less aiming for commentary, more for absurdity.

actually one of my most consistent spelling Ls. like, okay–it's pronounced sehp-reht as an adjective and seh-puh-reit as a verb (at least in either americana or just where I live regionally), the only indicator for the second vowel verbally is either not there at all or reduced to schwa, so my brain goes "Okay, what's the closest sound and spelled word to it that I can reference...sever?" and then it's an a, because fuck you for assuming anything about english through context i guess
