yes, they're saying "why do you agree with the nazis about trans people?" and she goes "the nazis didn't burn books or kill trans people!"
Maybe it's more like their belief in women being inferior fuels their transphobia and vice versa
this is actually a really good way of thinking about it, it's called transmisogyny theory. basically transphobia is motivated by both the idea that masculinity is better than femininity and the idea that male and female are exclusive categories. when someone breaks that boundary it's always met with hostility, and doubly so for people who are moving into the "inferior" category. i just started julia serano's whipping girl and it's very good and gets into far more detail on this than i or the wiki article can

nah, this isn't the same. dwarf fortress is a complex enough game when you understand the language, i imagine gnome fortress is much the same. playing it without being fluent is likely to end without you doing anything or having any fun
like, the interface isn't even in elvish, that's tough
i don't think it is, though afaik the game hasn't been translated on account of how complex it is
it's not good to say "i think you're trans," but i think the far more common (and much more acceptable) thing to say is "that reminds me a lot of how i felt before i realized i was trans," which leaves the possibility open but is not saying "i know you better than you know yourself"
i've had that happen to me before. thought i'd just gone deaf in one ear somehow, but nope. just ungodly amounts of earwax
"i used to do drugs. still do, but i used to, too"
i bet there are some russian revanchists who think alaska rightfully belongs to russia and the american dogs stole it, which is funny enough i can't be mad when rando fascist bit accounts decide to support it
lmao, pro israel anti joe biden, recovering former fascist, solidarity with israel donbass and alaska. legitimately incredible bit
it was good, i was riffing!
it's german for "the capital, the"
nah, there's a lot but it's not a 1:1 thing. there are plenty who are obsessed with one but not the other
nintendo didn't sue citra, it's just collateral damage from forbidding the yuzu devs from helping emulate nintendo stuff
yuzu settled out of court, but the terms were basically yuzu giving up literally everything and never working on anything similar ever again and also paying nintendo 2.4 million dollars
at least they don't owe nintendo all the money they make for the rest of their lives like happened with that other guy i suppose
i doubt they'll spend much time on it, they've done enough damage already. i bet they've already done enough to scare any major projects from developing for long enough that they won't be around for the first months of launch which is probably the main goal (though obviously if they could shut down all emulation they would)
i think it's because the next console is coming out next year and they want to discourage anyone from trying to crack it
they didn't win a court case, nintendo just threatened to sue and settled on the condition that yuzu (and citra through yuzu) be shut down and pay like 2 million dollars. if nintendo thought they could win they wouldn't have settled, they would have pushed through and won and permanently rendered emulators illegal. but they couldn't do that, so they'll just try and scare everyone off from doing anythign
look just enjoy the music and don't worry about the band member's politics. or don't! i don't care, just don't try and rationalize it like this
