Why are you on Reddit, it is vile and absolutely terrible, better stay away.
My account there is only for shilling lemmy.
Hey this is my first day on Lemmy and my first comment, too! Fun times.
It’s probably Spez with a second hand account
Both of these posts are complaining about their accounts being banned, which happened because they (at least one of them) posted low effort questions and therefore got lots of downvotes and got automatically banned by a system meant to ban bots and trolls. The irony is that reddit has major problems with their automatic moderation which you yourself as an user is completely powerless to controll, e.g. recently when a massive amount of nsfw subreddits were banned for being unmoderated which they later admitted was erroneous.
i doubt it was error on thier part, the subs happened to be the ones about trans and lgbt, and narcissim therapy , and around the time musk complained about whitepeople twitter. why only those and non of the controversial oens.
content of the post doesn't matter. So many only read the headline. But maybe it will make those who have some critical thinking skills question why lemmy is so "vile" and go take a look.
I've noticed a rise of Bot Moderators on reddit and their AI is not very good. They pick up on certain words and not context. One banned me for 3 days for harassment but I was defending myself against someone that was being antagonistic against me. My appeal was rejected :(
You didn't pay appeal fee that's why.
Proudly perm-banned from that shithole Reddit. They can eat a bag of dicks for every meal from now on.
i got temp ban, because i reported too much, and or people they dint want me reporting. oh when you get temp ban/perma ban, if the same sub sees you again, even if your ban was lifted, it bans you again because it assumes your evading(it doesnt clear when your ban gets lifted in some cases)
interesting. thanks for the advise.
It's likely just keywords. I had a similar thing when the comment I left was quite clearly sarcasm. I messaged the mods and they said their automod couldn't differentiate between sarcasm and ernest, and tough luck 🤷🏻♀️

Apparently there is a guy called Lemmy LMAO 🤣
He was the frontman for Motorhead. Though he started his career in Hawkwind in the 70s, I think.
Lol. Lemmy feels more like reddit than reddit.
I agree, reddit is so stagnant. I didn't join in its prime by any means, but the place is so different since 2023. Thats what booting all the competant mods and going public does.
God I can't believe it's been over a year and half since I left. Seems like yesterday.
seems to be worst now, although i do enjoy nottheonion and some politics.news on occasion it got really tiresome to see it all the time, and the ragebaiting, that you can get potential bans from. you can however filter out problematic subs from appearing on the feed. only works if your in r/all though.
Reddit bailed out people who were unhappy with digg 2.0 then they slowly went all corporate and ended up being the same damn thing.
I worry that in a couple years time, some corpo will start an instance, hoover up everyone with custom style and features then slowly defederate and leave us undertraveled.
Naturally, that's what any vile and absolutely terrible Lemmy user would say
My beef with Lemmy:
Lucky you.. I managed to get banned once, for not being "left" enough. So I just don't engage in specific kind of topics anymore.
I’ve gotten banned somewhere for ostensibly malicious ninja editing, can’t even remember the community, but I do remember the topic. I dared clarify some factual thing.
But it wasn’t part of a particular bandwagon of hate, so no dice.
For the moment, I just don't engage in political discussion on Lemmy. It is way to extreme for me in general. It makes sense tho that those who don't feel their opinions fit anywhere else (or get them banned etc.) gather in a place that allows for freer discussion, which I think is a good thing really.
And also just posting about niche music makes me happier than getting angry online so.. That's been a good motivation.
frankly, lemmy is literally only place I have found where you can discuss politics reasonably. I also try to rid myself of any pride about being right about anything and actually look forward to being called out if someone thinks i'm wrong. Then I can take a look at what they say and adjust my own opinions if the other guy makes sense.
Though i dont go to .ml, they seem more interested in witch hunts than making anything better.
in reddit you have to walk on eggshells when your in those subs, even if your "agreeing with everyone else", one simple misconstruement will get you banned.
See, that’s exactly the kind of thing I come here for. Keep doing it!
Honestly I think your approach is closer to the ideal: it's pretty poisonous to the mind if most of the content you take in is political in nature. You need to explore other stuff too, broaden horizons and all that.
I've been learning how to design parts with CAD software and 3D print it. Also got a home server going to host games and media, among other things. These hobbies keep me sane, and that's what I'm ultimately getting at: people need to get a hobby that isn't about being mad on the internet.
Also instead of just whining on the internet, its far more effective to engage in local politics and build up a base of people there than hoping that "someone" will do "something" about the whole country. That "someone" has to come from somewhere: create the grassroots that can be the base from which change springs.
But holy moly, it’s a political purity test! Like, I think of myself as pretty socialist, way far off center, but I feel totally alone veering off certain topics or even acknowledging certain things! I’m (mostly) not getting banned, and I am not leaving, but still.
I saw people advocating for damaging people's Teslas and it was fucking stupid. Beyond the fact that many people are not in a position where they can just get rid of a car over political reasons, it is likely many or even the majority of Tesla owners do not vote Republican (conservatives have been much slower to adopt EVs): you're very likely going to damage vehicles owned by totally innocent people.
I own a non-Tesla EV but either way it would be excessively expensive to switch to another car on a whim, and I sure as hell am not going to deprive my family just because seeing my car's brand hurts people's feelings.
I feel like 3 kinda comes with the territory of politics. The sort of people who mod political forums have more rigid ideas of what ideas should prevail in the discourse than someone modding a board for embedded electronics, not that that's an inherently bad thing.
It just feels worse because a greater portion of Lemmy is politics; here I've caught bans for being insufficiently pro-Kamala months after the election or not going along with a china bad circlejerk, but at reddit people catch bans for "John Brown did nothing wrong" or just posting footage from Palestine.
the gaza/palestine thing is very tricky, many of the subs have been infiltrated by pro-israeli mods, early on the war, they were spamming "jews are doing nothing wrong, if we jews dont destroy them they will destroy us", i pointed out in one, where the war was instigated and started by the same person who is keeping himself out of jail in israel.
Yeah. To be clear, I don’t feel "persecuted" by the administration, just the community. That’s a very important difference.
I’ve caught bans for being insufficiently pro-Kamala
I talked some shit during the election and didn't cop a ban lol. I guess you either had more visibility or were in even more extreme places than I was?
Lemmy Leftists feel like that old Emo Philips joke at times.
Apparently anyone not wanting to live in a grey soviet tower block and have all their worldly possessions be redistributed by the state is a "fucking Lib"
It's scary until you notice you don't get banned for disagreeing & challenging their dumbassery (as long as you follow the rules), unlike reddit where the slightest wrong move & it's BAN BAN BAN. Fuck that place.
It also helps to check which instance a post comes from & adjust your expectations accordingly.
currently on reddit the slightest misconstrued of your comment will get you banned, my favorite is always "harassment and hate". i was in the gym sub, and someone qouted machelenny as someone "that naturally achieved that look" from isaip, and responded with "roids and juiced up. instant ban, and you contact the mods for a whole month.
It also helps to check which instance a post comes from & adjust your expectations accordingly.
Fundamentally, Reddit has (in the Past) better moderation, and theirs is lousy.
I got banned from the Star Trek Memes sub, or something, for very mild trolling. I don't even remember what earned it, I think I said I can't get my head around an animated Star Trek and can't accept it as canon or something, and then the trolling was just me doubling down on that opinion (which is an actual opinion). People do love their fandoms.
It's expected. Right now, it is becoming a safe space for political dissidence. As sentiment pools and gathers mass, things tend to get towards the polar opposites and revolt breeds more revolt. Anything less than total agreement is viewed sideways.
These problems usually solve themselves as the network grows.
i argue that there arent really any niche communities. if I see a site with slow and limited posts, and 0 comments on most of those posts, can I really call that a community? i like video games and furry stuff. the video game and furry stuff sites have next to nothing on them. apparently the only 'geeks' here are Linux users who only talk about Linux distros or tankies who hate everyone and everything
Agreed.
I need to force myself to post/comment more in these subs though. Like I am trying to keep an eye on /c/thelastairbender for instance, but there are more.
I mean I think those are just the people who comment on politics threads.
It's so weird to read this, because other than a dork messaging me saying they were going to report me to the FBI I've had nothing but a lovely time on Lemmy.
I will say I have encountered a few highly voted positions that are beyond extreme to the point of stupidity, and I'm a Québecois union executive so that's wild. Most of that was from Hexbear or .ml tankies though.
I just don’t respond to hostile comments on Reddit or here. It makes life much easier. It saves me time too - if my comment is 2 sentences and someone replies to me with 2 very lengthy paragraphs, I just pass.
a paragraph response is just a rant. you have to spend a huge amount of time just thinking about it, and stressing out over it, thats how these people think.
i just report sometimes, to block them. on reddit, depends on the sub it can backfire if you report and the mod doesnt like it, or they set a filter of how many reports a "user can do before they get banned"
Same. I'll just block and move on. But I really haven't gotten them here. But other social sites I don't even reply.
Aktshully...
Insert two paragraphs of lorem ipsum.
What would the Federal Boob Inspectors want with you? Got a nice pair? I'm jealous.
On Livejournal back in the day you could list interests in your profile, like if you liked music or sports or whatever and you could search each other that way to find new friends. One Christmas an LJ friend had a "naked Christmas party", where we all posted photos of ourselves naked, so I submitted my first and only topless photo online ever, minus my face, and a bunch of my friends made up an interest category for my "(username) incredible rack". That was 25 years ago, and I'll say with modesty that they still look pretty good. That was a fun time.
Oh no... Anyway.
Anybody surprized by this?
I mean any default experience which includes the ml trio is legitimately vile. The sooner Lemmy gets serious about the tankie problem, the better.
I despise the tankies, but imho, stopping them from having their own servers simply pushes them into .world etc. - let them have their safe space, defederated.
To be clear, I am talking mostly about defederation, but also about a development roadmap which removes them from the critical path. Mostly because I don't trust them, but also because they make building an open source community that much more difficult. I have a bunch of accounts on various Lemmy instances but I've made piefed my home for now because it represents a path away from tankie adjacent development.
I wish I understood what the tankies are actually thinking. I just cant understand them. Even rightwing crazies seem more easy to understand. Are they just so extremist they repress any logical thought within themselves if it clashes with their views? Why do they idolize those horrible regimes? What is actually important to them?
They're like holocaust deniers. They're conspiracy theorists who think we're being tricked into not knowing the truth by mainstream media (which... That's a fair critique) and then "doing their own research" and reaching wild ass anti-vax-esque conclusions based on deciding to trust media outlets that are just as dangerous, if not moreso, than the ones they decided to tune out from.
"Lemmy" is just a bunch of protocols, what individuals use those protocols for should be irrelevant to the underlying protocols.
Bah, don't be a weiner. They sometimes have good points. Keyword is sometimes. It'd be a community disservice to remove their perspective from the mileau.
Whether I'm on Reddit or Lemmy, its just the same morons using different terms. You are the proof for that. Tribal mentality and bootlicking is ingrained into some
Wait till they hear about reddit
Ima be real everyone is kissing lemmys ass but.. I mean, it feels like reddit? Which is good?
Feels no different from reddit so far lol it's not better or worse, really
New here but so far it feels like Reddit used to feel 10 years ago - a bit less populated maybe.
The top comment on reddit is always a stupid fucking joke or pun. Not so on lemmy. That's the biggest difference I notice when I go back to look at reddit. On popular posts the whole first 3 threads are inane bullshit.
“I also chose this guys dead wife”..
Like the inside jokes were really good on Reddit like the switcheroo one, or the guy that always had that whole comment that ended in the wrestling scene but most of them were just repeated to death
Main difference from reddit is that you don't see the same joke repeated in every thread. And here if you comment something it'll probably be read by at least a few people.
Those top posts on reddit are always karma farming bots
Not so sure about the jokes. I use Arch BTW........
Disclaimer: I actually don't. I'm too lazy these days.
Thanks for the gold, kind stranger!
I find myself getting into less stupid arguments here, and it feels more active.
Same culture, less exploitation by a corporation.
Here, your comment doesn't get completely buried if you make one on a popular post. Part of that is the lack of heavy volume, of course, but I also feel like the sorting is more favorable to less upvoted comments.
Lemmy tastes like reddit that I have grown in my backyard garden.
An heirloom Reddit, if you will.
Lemmy feels like reddit from 2010, when it was good.
I wonder why? I have been here for a couple of days and it's nice so far.
Because Reddit removes posts promoting Lemmy
I've been lurking reddit lately, to see what propaganda the normies in the US are exposed to, and I found this thread fucking hilarious.
Every comment is complaining about how this will be the death of reddit. None of them realize Reddit already died years ago, and they're just getting high off the ashes.
no wonder they wanted api gone as well, it allowed people to ban evade, since its not using the site directly.
This really isn't true. Specific subreddits do, because their mods want to buddy up to the admins. With OP's search settings, I do get one of the posts they got (only one though), and most of the results are drowned out by posts about some guy called Lemmy. But sorting by New, there's plenty of results even from today and the past week. Subreddits announcing their fallback instance, a canadian subreddit discovering lemmy.ca, people asking questions about Lemmy. Lemmy-specific subreddits also show up without a problem. And everything I saw, except for that one post from OP's image, was positive about it.
I think people who have fully left Reddit are falling for confirmation bias when they hear that a post got removed for mentioning Lemmy. While plenty are still up despite doing the same. It's either because of the other contents of the post, or because of the subreddit it was posted in. If it was about promoting Lemmy alone, all posts that promote Lemmy would be gone, which isn't the case.
They probably went to .ml or a tankie instance
they made a post, got tons of downvotes, then complained about downvotes which also got downvoted, got caught by automod because of downvotes, appealed, got unbanned, then deleted account or got purged because nothing even shows in modlog. the account was on sjw, posts were to communities in .ml and lw
"Tankie instances" don't tolerate transphobia or western exceptionalism or Zionism. Lib instances don't tolerate questioning of US State Department propaganda (been banned from many comms for questioning the validity of Wikipedia articles on geopolitically charged topics) but will tolerate Zionism (downvoted but not banned). I'd rather have the former
Search manipulation or just shitty Reddit search?
Google search for "lemmy" site:reddit.com/r/redditalternatives provides different top results:
https://www.reddit.com/r/RedditAlternatives/comments/151v9vo/lemmy_explained_in_a_nutshell/
shitty reddit search.
cause one half is porn, the other is about linux
they went after the OF accts recently, if people wanted OF porn, they go to non-PH and thier affiliate sites.
Its 100% on purpose, those arent the most relevant or highest rated posts, cherrypicked
Welcome!
Thanks
I can only see one of those two posts (the second one) and it's pretty well reasoned (I don't agree though, just saying they did provide their reasoning in more than enough words imo). If you're interested, here's the link.
To summarize it:
The user got banned by the automod in the first one.
ashenblood 45 points 7 months ago
You got banned by the automod because your account was less than 24 hours old and you received 40 downvotes on a post. That filter is in place to combat spambots and trolls, because normal users are unlikely to trigger it by getting so many downvotes so soon after making an account
I messaged the admin and they already unbanned your account. ...
https://www.reddit.com/r/RedditAlternatives/comments/1e0xugs/stay_away_from_lemmy/
Hell yeah! Consider sticking around for a bit. Don't forget that you have the power to block individuals, communities, and even entire instances if you're having a bad time. Not sure if reddit gives you all that power, but it has its uses!
you can block invididuals, and turn off replies, but its often not effective, because if you go back to the orignal convo you blocked, you can see them bitching that you blocked them, oh and they created another account so they can evade your own block(since they cant join your convo thread in a subreddit. often times they will retaliate by reporting you for blocking them. and risking reporting them, can put you at odds with a mod, say you cant make too many reports.
Not sure if reddit gives you all that power
It does not. Was one of the reasons that I abandoned it when they blocked third party clients. I resent being forced to view right-wing propaganda, rage-bait, and ads as well as being forced to short by opaque algorithms that are clearly intended to manipulate.
Maybe OP got a bad experience on .ml or accidentally used hexbear
Rent free in your brains, gahdaym
Maybe because Reddit sees Lemmy as a concurrent.
I don't have the answer but welcome.
Thanks
Fuck you @iStone@feddit.org!
There ya go.
Possibly landed in Hexbear. In combination with Spaz’s purge of all things Lemmy encouraging.
Honestly I had some really bad experiences here on Lemmy. I So bad, that in fact I contemplated going back to Reddit because it didn't feel much different. I surely went from recommending my friends to delete Reddit to towards more of a "just quit Reddit altogether but there's no good alternative"
good thing about lemmy is that if you have bad experience, you can effectively ignore it and still find some good elsewhere. On reddit the shit is so ingrained everywhere you cant really escape it. I also had bad experience with .ml instance that I never had with reddit. But all the good experiences I have had dont even compare to reddit.
Also knowing that some rich piece of shit cant manipulate anything here on fundamental level makes lemmy feel clean.
Lemmy has some of the most tiresome people, like a completely humorless version of the most circlejerk parts of reddit. Why am I here then. Because how are we ever gonna have a reddit alternative if we don't have at least a few normal people.
That's how I see it, almost exactly. I'm hated here but I stay because I feel a sense of responsibility.
Kind of agree, I guess that's why I'm also here haha
At least the moderation is very limited
Depends, trust me, especially regarding politics.
Moderators on Lemmy aren’t better than Reddit. On anything news or politics, many act like political commissars and will delete everything that doesn’t fit their agenda, regardless what the rules say. That includes lemmy.world, the biggest instance. See !yepowertrippinbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com for examples. However you can find it out yourself by talking about something even slightly controversial.
Not gonna lie; I read the first link in the "stay away from the summoner" lady's voice from FFX.
I appreciate the link, it has been a hot minute since I've heard that.
Usually when there are more comments than upvotes it means that OP is getting thoroughly roasted
Nah that went away with the advent of the "proportional" scoring or whatever bullshit they called it like 10 years ago
I don't get the hate this place gets. It's been really interesting watching Lemmy's growing pains over the last two-ish years and all the changes it has undergone. The whole concept of the Fediverse is fascinating to me and has been a genuine delight to explore.
True Story, Bob
Lol.
Agreed. I never even had Instagram or twitter but I've become a pixelfed and mastodon lurker after enjoying Lemmy for 1+ years. The comment section here is miles ahead of reddit, where you get repost after repost and the same old tired jokes in every comment section.
The fediverse is fantastic and I'm happy to be a (very minor) part of it.
I'm almost 40, this place reminds me of the early internet in a good way. Like, people connecting and sharing ideas... what even Reddit used to feel like. Sure, sometimes there are arguments but, due to the lack of an "outage" algorithm to juice engagement, you usually only hear about it unless it's something you directly follow. With the lack of profit motive on the side of the platform and hosting end of things, it appears that trolls and clout chasers have a genuine hard time monopolizing everyone's attention.
I blame Tankies. They're too aggressive with their "liberals this, liberals that" bullshit, which drives a way a lot of people cause that makes Lemmy look like a MAGA-infested shithole to anyone who doesn't know what a Tankie this.
Hexbear and LemmyGrad's bullshit almost made me quit Lemmy day one, until I learned how instances work and how to block them. I imagine that less-determined redditors will take one look at this place, see a liberal-bashing post, and then immediately fuck off.
I wish Tankies would just stay in their own god damn space, and keep their bootlicking politics to themselves. They're ruining Lemmy.
they already have thier safe spaces on r/consevative, conspiracy, and trueunpopular opinon, but they whine on other subs that th ey are still get censored, or the so-called left is in an echo-chamber ever since trump won. even though those sub is mostly run by russian state owned bot system.
Can confirm - I'm new here and when I see pieces of shit who'd be right at home amongst the people my grandfather killed in WWII (AKA nazis) it doesn't make me more interested in sticking around. At this point IDGAF why they think they way they think, they can fuck off into the sun. At some point I'll see whatever blocking thing there is and it will get better. Still an improvement over reddit.
I imagine that less-determined redditors will take one look at this place, see a liberal-bashing post, and then immediately fuck off
Good. The last thing we need is more stormfront brainrot.
Also, quite the ironic comment.
Bro inadvertently it made a new copypasta 😂
Idk I kind of like Lemmy so far 🤷
it's basically like a super Reddit
The community could certainly be kinder.
downvoted to teach you a lesson!
(much less toxic than reddit thus far)
I think you're the first account I've seen from the sooner instance, hope you're having fun over there at least
Must be a coincidence /s
Definitely not related to this https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/37910698
Spez would never do this on purpose, he's a good guy
Good. If they are willing to smear us, they fear us.
This is a marketing issue.
Lol fediverse has marketing issue. So far it's basically harder to use less functional versions of other products with larger base. Seems like "protecting you data" isn't quite enough to compete with the additive crack corporate stuff puts out
Lemmy is so much more usable than Reddit without old.Reddit.com
I hate the app and web ui with a burning passions. It’s SO spammy!
If the rest of the post is: BECAUSE THEY'RE TOO LIBERAL.
Good. We don't need anyone deterred by that. We do a fine enough job fighting amongst ourselves.
One of these is someone complaining about a ban from automod triggered by tons of downvotes on fresh account. That is, their takes were so shit that they were swept by tool meant for spambots
And the replies explained that to them. It sounds like they were actually about even on upvotes to downvotes, but it was enough for an automod to act. They got unbanned after a real mod intervened. It is a frustrating experience, but one that's going to vary by instance and community. They mentioned in an edit that they might give it another shot.
The other post did have some legitimate complaints about lack of content, most activity being tech bros, far-left politics, and shitpost, cumbersome ui, bad moderation, and elitist users. All of these I agree with even if I think they were exaggerated considerably. But they have all gotten better over time or can be much mitigated with some effort on the user's part.
downvote bots needed
Wouldn't work if it's Reddit itself manipulating the results
I don't understand why it's still so taboo to say that opaque social network owner would manipulate their platform's results. They absolutely do it all the time because no one can know or stop them.
Am I a bot to you?
Who needs bots? get up your old abandoned reddit accounts guys!
They're all perm-banned for reporting mods for fuckery but I'm with you in spirit
funny thing redd started to banning them recently. its an recent effort of them cleaning house of potential competing OF users, and bots.
Where's my vile homies at?! Let's get freaky with some Linux and Star Trek memes.
Sorry I only argue politics
Lemmy.ml and Lemmygrad actually are terrible
Yes, they are. Lemmy as a whole isn't.
lol, Lemmy is the most benign social media platform i have participated in decades
Conspiracy theory those are actually written by Reddit themselves so people don’t go to the rival
Thats what people in the comments thought.
Won’t it make sense though
posted by u/spez
This is some cope mechanism or some Stockholm syndrome right there.
DoNt gO tO lEmMy cUz MuH KaRmA ScOrE!

I'd read those, but they're probably behind a paywall like they do with superior websites.
Use Qwant instead:
Sorry, I meant to say when you search on reddit for it.
Oh wow, that's a pretty significant detail.
I was wondering what search you used for those results, I tried Google, and got mainly results about Motorhead.
But now I see the main filters on your search are: Posts, Communities, comments...
So pretty obvious when you know it.
Gee it's almost like Reddit doesn't want people going to a competetor.
Qwant
First I've heard of Quant. Got any more information? What engine it's a front end to, who's backing it, etc?
It's mostly independent, and operating from France, so it's directly under EU regulation.
I believe it’s Fr€nch - servers are European based. Beyond that I know nothing.
Lemmy is far from perfect, but so is Reddit, and Reddit is falling further every day. Some users on Lemmy have a bad time because they come barrelling in without reading instance tags, pick an instance name they think is cool, and suddenly find themselves on the front lines of a massive drama war and slapped with tags they didn't even know existed... I know from experience.
So then they'll run off back to Reddit without reading and actually finding the right instance and start screaming how bad it is. Couple that with Reddit trying to hush everything Lemmy and doctoring their platform to make it look bad... yeah.
I'll admit I still use Reddit from time to time because there are communities that don't exist here yet that are actually good communities staying out of this battle. But you can bet your ass I use RedReader and uBO to do it. The moment Reddit started charging exorbitant API fees and peddling NFTs I cut my use back by 90%.
So pick your poison: Do a little research and find the right instance and communities or live as the product and run around with the blinders they give you. Its literally a red pill blue pill deal.
Five bad things about Lemmy. You won't believe the last one.
And what's bad with furries or linux socks?
People like you unironically deserve reddit.
linux socks are comfy tho :(
2&3 are pretty cool, I'm not a furry but the anthropomorphic comics on !furry_irl@pawb.social are still very much enjoyable. Unix socks on the other hand are something that I need to obtain sooner rather than later.
You made the tankies mad. Great job!
I’ve had the opposite experience in my short time here
When you search it. Everything is so tailored these days. I get a Wikipedia article and a join-lemmy.org website.
this is reddit search, not google/startpage/metager/what have you
Ah that makes more sense lol
The join-lemmy website genuinely sucks though.
Thing is, I value my VPN-based privacy more than any other aspect of antisocial media.. it's beyond sketchy and worrisome that they shadowban anyone not willing to share their real identity. No thanks, CCP.
reddit went hard on the anti-vpn bans, i think most of the OF ACC have used more sophisticated methods like proxies that changes the Ip on your choice, and the device, browser fingerprinted is spoofed by a anti-detection browser. also using new(used mobile devices)
Resounding endorsements!
Lol noticed that a while ago and forgot to post it
What's worse, a pile of dog crap or a pile of kangaroo crap? I'd recon they are both shitty
do people still use google for search? when i watch my mom search for something she'll ask any AI over google. soon reddit results will vanish from google for their paywall. so this is a good sign! the evil americans will have a hard time with massextraction of personal data from around the world. enemies of murica can research building bombs without being tracked by the neonazination. anything bas for america haa turned into something good for the world. is there any way to speed this up maybe? spez should start his paywal asap!
Agree tbh. Drag invited drag's friends to use Lemmy and they were treated horribly by the community. Drag is addicted to the platform and wouldn't wish that addiction on anyone. Except Elon Musk.
But at least you tried to solve other people's addictions to Lemmy by telling them to commit murder/suicide. Multiple people. Very kind of you.
Drag needs their own instance for their friends maybe?
Then no one would see them make a mockery of trans people.
That would be a great idea if drag was smart enough
Seriously…. Why are you here?
