Ima be real everyone is kissing lemmys ass but.. I mean, it feels like reddit? Which is good?
Feels no different from reddit so far lol it's not better or worse, really
New here but so far it feels like Reddit used to feel 10 years ago - a bit less populated maybe.
The top comment on reddit is always a stupid fucking joke or pun. Not so on lemmy. That's the biggest difference I notice when I go back to look at reddit. On popular posts the whole first 3 threads are inane bullshit.
“I also chose this guys dead wife”..
Like the inside jokes were really good on Reddit like the switcheroo one, or the guy that always had that whole comment that ended in the wrestling scene but most of them were just repeated to death
Yeah Lemmy has the user base that will dogpile you if you say something mildly upsetting
Windows 11 is the best operating system Microsoft have released in a long time, and I think it wins out on Arch Linux.
Bait used to be believable
After 5 words it was already evident that you were lying
Windows XP was the best OS ever. Then it was overtaken by any other alternative.
I never had any issues with Vista and kept it until I was forced to go to 7.
Main difference from reddit is that you don't see the same joke repeated in every thread. And here if you comment something it'll probably be read by at least a few people.
Those top posts on reddit are always karma farming bots
Not so sure about the jokes. I use Arch BTW........
Disclaimer: I actually don't. I'm too lazy these days.
Thanks for the gold, kind stranger!
I find myself getting into less stupid arguments here, and it feels more active.
Same culture, less exploitation by a corporation.
Here, your comment doesn't get completely buried if you make one on a popular post. Part of that is the lack of heavy volume, of course, but I also feel like the sorting is more favorable to less upvoted comments.
