The Dems pretty consistently seem to view policy demands from the electorate as a bad faith attack on them that only serves their enemy. They don't seem to think that they have any responsibility to implement policy that would benefit their constituents. They also seem to think that their constituents are supposed to know their place by dutifully voting and otherwise remaining silent.
Their attitude towards voters is truly insane. The snide condescension and belief that voters have a duty to vote for Democrats, and Democrats have absolutely no duties whatsoever.
