  • No, I doubt any instance is gonna allow to say things like the n-word or "I don't think people that are [Race/Ethnicity] should be allowed to exist".

Any instance that allows you to say that should be defederated.

Can you claify what you mean by "free speech"? Give a few example comments?

  • I'm not sure what you want me to elaborate on.

PRC does not have a free/socialized healthcare system. There are some government workers who have insurance. My aunts are teachers and I think they have an insurance plan provided by their employment. Before immigrating to the US, my mother worked in sales, and my dad was either a taxi driver or a truck driver or something like that, and they did not have health insurance.

So its just out of pocket, just like in the US.

  • I also didn't like it the first watch. Then a few years later I ran out of stuff to watch and tried again. It's very confusing on who the "bad guys" are until season 2. I just google some minor spoilers and about the "bad guys" and it was enough for me to continue on watching.

Season 1, nothing really happens, it feels more like a prequel. Season 2 is when shit really begins.

  • TV, Movies, distracting entertainment.

Writing poetry, worldbuilding and write stories in it.

My favorite Youtuber is Jacksepticeye. Vey wholesome, very funny, no weirdness like the other ones. Always have a progressive view on the world. Like you can feel it when he talks about stuff.

I re-watch his old videos to feel the nostalgia.

I don't have anyone to talk to either, but when ever I hear or read about other's struggles, on wikipedia, new stories, videos, forum posts, I feel as though I talking to a friend and sharing our struggles. It give you perspective, it make you feel less lonely, knowing that you are not alone, other share similar struggles.

  • I mean, the Orville is more like a comedy, not everyone is into that.

Have you watched The Expanse? That's more of what more realistic space sci-fi looks like.

Also: For All Mankind, depicting an alternate space race where the Soviets won the race to the moon, and the space race didn't end, and continued on, base on moon, maybe even expanding further into the solar system (no spoilers, you'll have to watch).

  • Mr. Robot

Feels too dark. Drugs, depression, dystopia, alter egos?

Feels like I'm watching some conspiracy theory documentary, way to dark.

Succession, its just rich people doing rich people things. So much boring family drama.

The Wire. I stop watching because too much corrupt cop moments that triggers PTSD.

    Stanger Things. The part where

Didn't finish Lost. Like WTF dude, a fucking

The Walking Dead, the story is boring and dragged on too long and I lost interest.

Probably a lot more boring TV, but probably too boring for me to even remember.

  • No Stupid Questions @lemmy.world

Couldn't someone living near a border just go over and buy stuff and skip the tariffs?
