  • They do, don't they? Here's hoping I manage to keep them both alive and happy!

  • They were both surprisingly cheap too - just saw them in a home center I went to buy some other stuff and couldn't resist :)

  • Doesn't read, entitled and wants, nay, NEEDS down votes - what a curious combination... :)

  • Which means one more screen to show ads - this is why they do it...

  • I can see why spez is upset about scrappers and search engines - image a company profiting from people creating lots of data, just hoarding it and using it for free, and not paying those people a cent, preposterous, right? :)

  • The good'ole strategy of "if we cut enough corners we'll become a circle and circles are perfect"...

  • No, thanks. Here's an idea Google - how about you keep your greedy paws off the apps I install from different sources, since I have good reasons for doing so?

  • The article didn't really provide an answer, so let me try: because their whole worldview is based on actively seeking things to be freaked out, offended and enraged by, and constantly playing the victim?

  • You guys! I did it! Like, with an actual woman! And, wait for it, no condom! You guys, I wennt in raw! And I totally came inside! Is your mind blown yet?

  • Small print, excessive legalese and outright deceptive language in ads, agreements and such. All the "free" (not really free) trials, "unlimited" (not really unlimited) plans, "best value" (according to the producer and their mum) deals and shit like that.

There really should be a law prohibiting that - if reading through terms and conditions for using a damn website or a toothbrush or whatever requires 4 hours of free time, a magnifyibg glass and degree in law, such t&cs should be illegal. Same for disclaimers and such in ads - any 4pt text displayed for 2 seconds on screen should automatically result in a massive fine.

  • So just like all those "unlimited" phone plans with limits, "free" trials that require a credit card number and "lifetime" warranties that expire after a few years? Cool. Cool cool cool...

  • Greedy little pigboy was happy to GET it for free though...

  • Right, can't have records of illegal raids, theft or murder uploaded somewhere before they can destroy/confiscate them...

  • Thing is, I want really a fan of boybands back then, so I have no idea why it hit me so hard now - I didn't hate them, but I preferred other things. This song though, welp, hook, line and sinker. I even love the silly wink-wink-nodge-nudge lines like "boys are in sync" - I'm literally listening to the song as I write this, but the way :D

  • Released literally this week: On-lyne "Party of your lifetime". It's from an upcoming update for a game called Warframe, and it's basically distilled 90s boyband earworm. It's like Backstreet Boys and N Sync had a bunch of boy babies, fed them crack and taught them to sing. And for some reason I unironically LOVE it - I've been listening to it on repeat for hours, I need help :P

  • Loved this year's Tennocon - it still follows the trend I dislike of "here's a story mission in a game called Warframe about those things called warframes, and we'll make you play anything and everything except warframes", but at least Arthur plays LIKE a warframe, so I'm good.

Also, holy hell I absolutely love that On-lyne song, unironically. It's just so nineties it hurts, and I want to play it on repeat all day :)

Pretty excited about Tokyo Game Show too - as soon as they confirm which day is their big reveal I'm almost definitely buying a ticket. TGS lines are hell on earth, but I think I'll brave it just to meet the team.

  • Next step: sue the power companies for providing electricity to the bad, nasty pirates, their landlords for allowing the egregious acts of piracy on their property, and their mothers for not raising them right... /facepalm

  • I did mention it before, but you know what else interferes with surveillance and investigations? Door locks, walls, window blinds and clothes. Should we get rid of these too, so authorities can investigate us easily whenever they want to, and confirm we're not hiding something bad?

  • Elden Ring and most other soulslikes - I don't have the skill, time or will to "git gud" at them, but they are a beautiful spectacle and a joy to watch, especially when watching someone who plays really well.

  • What, are you, like a weird person who searches for stuff YOU want to find instead of getting on a comfortable banwagon and consuming ads disguised as content like EVERYONE else? Shame! /s
