  • I want to say that "unconscious cultural" doesn't exist, but I don't think I'm right on it. You can easily build consciousness on those topics and thus easily spot the cases with risk for any wrongdoing, and with how common and well-known they are, it just feels more like "willingly ignorant".

  • It's really tiring how all-or-nothing political parties like to be. Your choices are: · Help everyone, thus straining our resources thin and barely helping anyone · Fucking kill anyone who so much looks at us

I personally think "help yourself first so you can help others better". How are you expected to take care of humanitarian issues when your own country is unraveled? You're having your own humanitarian issue!

  • Yeah but this guy doesn't currently need independence, he needs safety. Independence isn't gonna give it to him - if anything, it's making him feel exposed and unsafe.

It's like kids, they need to be cared for while they learn how to handle themselves. Slowly, you let them go and eventually they spread their wings and fly off. But until then, they're vulnerable, weak, and highly dependent. Doesn't make them any less, they just have other priorities.

  • Yeah it depends on who you do it with. Part of emotional intelligence is knowing what the limits others have is, but if you're unable to even state that you are going to be in a bad mood then that's less than a friendship.

As for the suicide attempt, that's something incredibly heavy for anyone. I don't completely blame them, but at the same time, you'd expect something, not full on ghosting. It's like they're the ones who commited suicide, sheesh.

And lastly about the spectrum... It makes you think that people are rational, logical, that they will keep in mind the trades you've done and will pay you back eventually. The truth is: People are irrational shits.

All we can do is guess and hope for the best.

  • Man, something I love is un-steering by simply reducing my grip against the wheel so it slowly resets to neutral, my hand's friction making sure it doesn't do so suddenly. This shit ass shape would make that impossible. It's like they hate driving.

  • You can simply say "yo I'm sad about my cat's death". Accept your feelings and dont be shy to share them, just dont impose them. It also opens buds to help you if they're up for it.

Shutting them up only reinforces this idea that men dont cry and arent allowed to feel things, and the day you need actual help people will mock and leave you for being a downer and a weakling.

Friendships are built on the ups and the downs.

Also in this case, you need to let yourself grieve, or itll pop up in the future when you dont expect it to.

  • Well, once he opens up she can train him to be more independent. But first he needs the security and wiggle room.

Its not the best approach, but in the mental world you take what you can get.

  • I hate it when my technology tries to be smart. Be predictable, you piece of junk. I dont need my laptop to sleep when I shut the lid because all that foes is stop it from shutting down. And opening it doesnt need to turn it on ffs. I blame company policy.

I miss when things were simple, predictable, and you could simply work around them.
