  • Well think of it this way:

A politician COULD approve a project like this, and his area will see improvements in 2-7 years, and everything connected to the network improves in 4-10 years, and if the politician personally invests and things go well (they would, but yOu nEvEr KnOw) then the politician could stand to gain a decent chunk of ROI in a few years.

    OR

The politician accepts a bribe listens to lobbyists from the automotive industry, kills all competition to ICE vehicles and more roads, the area stagnates for the third decade in a row, and the politician is $10,000 richer today.

Honestly the politicians hands are completely tied here. Their net worth is only $18 million, do you really think they can afford to wait a few years???

  • He's a fucking arrogant Douchebag who only gained power by stealing Anubis' technology and territory, and underhandedly attacking the other Goa'uld in order to......

Oh you meant the non-stargate one...

    Neat! grabs popcorn

  • If be pissed and fight back if someone destroyed my home, too.

    My condolences to the jackals.

  • When I was a child, I once knocked every book off every shelf in the house.

Because I had 6 books in alphabetical order on my little shelf in my room. My mother kept rearranging them in as close a rainbow distribution as possible.. I asked her to stop many times, but ultimately decided if you're going to mess up my shelf, I will mess up yours.

Surprisingly this tactic worked, and they didn't make me clean up the books by myself, they did most of it.

Their idea of "organizing" the books is "well most of the books in that series are close to each other, but a bunch of other random ones are mixed in, and entire genres have been rearranged many times so who knows what books we even actually have"

They have a similar way of organizing dvds. It's infuriating.

  • ", and other things said by people who don't understand firearm manufacturing.

It's pretty easy to convert most firearms to full auto as long as you have even a little mechanical knowledge, and some basic cnc tooling.

The cnc tooling raises the entry bar, but you absolutely can do the same things with a $50 trip to a hardware store. It just takes longer and more elbow grease.

I guess my point is, if you're gonna do this, you should go after the whole industry.

Yes, I am aware how easy glock modification is. If I had a glock (I dislike hammerless) the theoretically I could 3d print a "giggle switch" and within a few hours of hitting "print" I would have what I need.

But whether it's 3 hours or 3 days of work, it's still possible.

So again, if you do this, please go after all of them.

(note, I hold the opinions that gun control needs to be drastically overhauled and my lgbtq+ friends and neighbors should arm themselves in places like the US and learn how to use your firearm, because the people who will be coming after you in the coming years certainly will be)

  • I still haven't gotten anything for my family, and I have no idea what to get anyone either. I don't know what anyone likes anymore. And honestly I'm just getting tired of Christmas in general. I don't have the energy to pretend that I care about it anymore. I don't want to visit people. I just want to be left alone with nobody putting ridiculous social expectations on me.

I don't have advice, but you should know you aren't alone in your feelings.

  • Make every company that has a whistleblower die in ANY way face extremely heavy penalties including, but not limited to: 75% taxing on all income for a period of time as part of a fine, jail time for executives, board members, and potentially large shareholders, potential nationalization of the company, etc

Make every company afraid to have a whistleblower die. Make them want to hire private security and pay for all health expenses to ensure the person lives because the alternative is the company ceases to exist in any way that benefits those in charge.

  • The angled DOD seal to reflect Walter's slightly down turned head is a nice touch

  • killing a cop

Weird how one civilian killing another somehow has a different meaning just because of the jobs they work. Seems pretty fucking stupid if you ask me. If it was going to be a harsher penalty(,) then I'd expect it to be a(n) actually beneficial job that people should respect like a pediatrician or janitor.

    (edited for grammar)

  • She assaulted me directly, and since my wrist is in an ace wrap, obviously it was a savage attack.

Why isn't she being arrested on my word alone?

Oh right, because we live in completely different worlds where the rich and politicians get extremely preferential treatment up to and including literal fucking treason without repercussions.

  • If it's enough to arrest a woman in Florida, it should be enough here.

  • "Cuntry cosplay pavement princesses" as my wife likes to call them.

  • As always, some people see Jurassic Park as inspiration and wonder why nobody gave Hammond a chance.

The rest of us know that Dr. Malcolm was right from the start.

  • I thought that was the expectation?

They introduced us to a younger Witcher that the Geralt was training, Geralt's story came to an end....

It felt like that's what they were intentionally setting up, a totally Ciri-focused next game.

  • I believe it's properly pronounced "Brock 'THE RAPIST' Turner"

  • "If conservatives become convinced that they can not win democratically, they will not abandon conservatism. They will reject democracy."

  • Damn, if you keep stuffing words into their mouth, it'll probably suffocate them.

  • surely they'll follow up with investments into US-produced solar equipment to boost the economy and bring prices down to competitive levels, right?

    ..... Right?
