I think this is the 5th time I've seen this headline.
Can't tell if this is a shitpost or not
Distros based on Ubuntu are better than ever. Ubuntu isn't the move tho
Does it matter where that image is actually taken if it looks identical to most of the country?
The only way to beat shitty people is to prove that you're better at whatever dumbass game they're playing than them. Evangelicals? Just pretend to be a DesNat/fundie. When someone is being violent towards you, the only way to "win" is by returning it 10 fold. Their worldview is based on superiority, do not let them delude themselves and others.
It's essentially Unreal Engine for kids, Roblox and Minecraft were both huge in how much freedom they provided the player.
Unrelated, but when I was a kid I thought China and Japan were a united land mass until WW2 when we nuked Japan, then it floated off into the ocean. This reminded me of that a little bit
The only reason I don't care all that much is because it's all online in public, it's made to be shared. Do you get upset when someone steals your meme and doesn't credit you? The internet is just made for this kind of spread. It's why comic creators use tags. Where do you draw the line for what online text is shareable or not shareable?
Idk man, I saw a lot of people actually try to say this is a reasonable thing to do. Can never be sure
On the kitchen confidential sub, we all agreed it would be pretty cool for big pieces of fried chicken, but then questioned where they would store whatever is supposed to be scooped by this. Fast-food popcorn chicken holders is pretty much the only thing we could say made sense. But then if it was fast food, they'd just have scoops for it already.
Writing a fiction book is pretty much making your own D&D campaign where you're all the characters and the DM.
Tfw all the coding you know is from PLTW classes
This guy just did it with his bare hands though. Imagine those burns
That's cool AF. Shodan shows lots of cool things that I don't think anybody minds being seen, but it also gives search results that could be used nefariously. It's probably the coolest and creepiest tech product I've ever seen.
Even if it is, how the fuck do you bend a sautee pan by hand like that?
This place didn't feed chickens though, they feed people chicken
Any weird/controversial opinions? I'll start. Before the remake, the best version of Resident Evil 4 was the Wii version. The Wiimote controls old Resi's tank controls better than any other controller at the time. The PC version had a bunch of little bugs and detractors that the Wii version just doesn't have.
I'll extend this by saying that the Wiimote is actually pretty damn good for shooters, and particularly good for accessibility. Not having to cramp up my hands to press buttons is awesome for having arthritis. Aiming with the Wiimote and moving with the nunchuck just feel really natural, you barely have to move your fingers for anything.
Connect is my favorite app so far, however it is twice as battery hungry as Liftoff even with AMOLED mode on my phone. My battery is really shit, so it's really rough. Are there any settings I can change to increase battery life, or is this just how the app need to be?
You know something that has kinda been grinding my gears about Lemmy so far? I can find new communities on other communities federated with mine. However I cannot click on any of the links they leave for the other communities and have to search for them manually through my search bar. If I could just click on a link to another community and have the app retrieve it through my instance, that would be really cool and would add a lot to the user experience of the fediverse.
Mine has to be Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime, a DS spin off of the Dragon Quest series that sees you playing as a slime operating a tank and rescuing the people from your town. You run around the overworld, collecting items to use as ammunition and saving money to upgrade your tank. The art and music are just as great as you'd expect from the Dragon Quest series. It made fantastic use of the DS's dual screens. It's also written for a younger audience, so a lot of it is just really silly and fun! Try it out for sure, I'm so sad there's no sequel :(
I wanna get back into Pokemon. Recently I've started playing a ROM hack of Emerald called Sigma Emerald that makes all Pokemon catchable, it's been fun. However I really wanna get into more vanilla play. The most recent game I've played is when I played Platinum as a kid. Legends Arceus looks really fun, but I don't have a switch. I'd buy one, but I don't wanna end up not liking the switch games. Kinda stuck between a switch or a 3ds.
Where do you guys think I should enter into the newer eraa of Pokemon with?
