  • I'm confused why you're accusing me of that, but I'm totally willing to clarify further. It seems you are responding to what you think I said, vs what I actually said.

Can you please address what I'm saying if you disagree with it without resorting to ad hom and the laziness of "tropes"?

  • The fundamentals of that religion is to have a bunch of rules but perpetually finding ways to subvert them. And that's not about duping other people, it's about duping "god". This doesn't appear to be a recent development, it is one of the main threads in the texts themselves, people subverting rules and being punished, people subverting rules well and being rewarded, tomes of arguments about how you are paradoxically allowed skirt the rules. Israel Shahak writes some prayers are said in Hebrew, followed by others are said in Aramaic. A practice originating from the idea that angels only speak Hebrew, so ask for the less wholesome things in Aramaic, as these will escape detection but somehow be answered.

We are comfortable criticizing other religions for their particular problems, but not Judaism for what ever reason. We are plenty comfortable critiquing Calvinism, it's idea of predetermination of virtue and how well this mapped onto NW European colonial ambitions and eventually capitalism, for example. The aughts were rife with discourse combing the Quran for any whiff of violence. But to say something pretty apparent, like that Judaism is an ethnoreligion with a natural foundation for supremacy, or that the "legal" framework lends itself to thinking described in the video, is a thoughtcrime

  • That seems consistent with the footage. A couple plucked off of the volley. Which I found strangely comforting, it means they were trying and falling.

I had a teacher that once said if you can get a 0% multiple choice test he would give you a 100%, but if you didn't hit 0% you get the grade you got.

  • US leaves Hurricane Helene survivors behind while funding Israel’s genocidal war. As the death toll from the storm climbs to 204, Congress has made no efforts to secure more disaster relief funding.
  • That's what has prompted my ruminating about this whole situation. My husband is ethnically Jewish, by 3rd Reich standards so is my son. We have had strained family and friend relationships as a result of the whole ordeal. I have nothing to do with any of this. I could tolerate a situation where I am a political prisoner, but anything with my child I just can't fathom.

And of course, I can't talk to any of my in laws or estranged Jewish friends because they are just conditioned to be like "yeah that's why we need Israel at all costs" while they just further dissociate and double down and contribute to fomenting a situation that affects me and mine. It's maddening.
