“NOOOO YOU HAVE TO PUT ON A THREE PIECE SUIT TO BUY A GROCERIES!!!”
Covid proved there's no social fabric so I'm not obligated to pretend there is
67 0 ReplyBroke: wearing sweats in public
Woke: wearing the same sweats in public for multiple days in a row because you are thriving
66 0 Reply40% of the mass of a good pair of sweatpants should be microbial

These are the same people who get mad if you put your elbows on the table or sit down to eat with a hat on. I wish my life was so simple that I had the energy to give things like that a second thought.
51 0 ReplyOne of my dad's wives was a Brit and I learned about the headwear thing from her. I never encountered it before. She pulled a face when I come to the dinner table wearing a baseball cap. She didn't even make a sentence. She just said "Your cap..." and she got even more annoyed I didn't understand what she meant. I took it off because I didn't want to get in an argument. I just wanted to eat.
I never thought of her as my step-mother. I always thought of her as my dad's wife.
26 0 ReplyI don't care enough to ever say anything, but I do find it pretty odd when people wear hats indoors. Don't even know why honestly.
11 0 ReplyShe didn't even make a sentence. She just said "Your cap..." and she got even more annoyed I didn't understand what she meant.

I’ve been yelled at for leaning forward to drink from a straw instead of picking the cup up and bringing it to my mouth. Like how about you take your hand and shove it up your ass

classism, racism, the usual suspects
49 0 ReplyReally? I always thought of it as an upper class white girl thing.
17 0 ReplyIt’s racism because when they do it no one cares, but when poc do it we’re considered trashy.

I surprised myself by how much respect I lost for a friend when they were disgusted by someone for wearing street clothes at the gym.
Who the fuck gives a shit, Merin?
29 0 ReplyI draw the line at jeans on the beach
14 0 ReplyDepends on the beach. You go to a cold rainy pacific northwest Beach you're gonna want those jeans.
12 0 Reply
Street clothes? Like jeans while deadlifting or something lol. Seems efficient to me. You work out in your dirty work clothes and don’t need to fill extra space with gym clothes.

29 0 ReplyI'm constantly fascinated by people who wear clothing to bed
28 0 Replygotta wash sheets more often if you sleep naked. also harder to get out of bed in the morning when it's cold. i've started wearing pajamas

Weird freaks like Donald Trump Jr. probably wear a suit to a grocery store.
21 0 ReplyNo way he ever goes to a grocery store
25 0 ReplyOnly two prominent people I know who wear a suit to everything is John List and Jordan Peterson.
14 0 ReplyAnd that guy from the tv. Barney Rubble of something
11 0 ReplyBut Jordan Peterson only wears weird suits, too. I don't even get it.

I'm going to go grocery shopping dressed like a Napoleonic cavalier after church on Sunday and make disapproving faces at all the boomers wearing suits.

maybe the someone in question is a fuckhead Zionist senator who mocks protestors and they are latching onto dress as an admittedly misguided attack vector
13 0 Replythe only correct outfit is a collared shirt and dress pants
less than that? you're poor
more than that? overdressed, why do you want attention so bad?
11 0 ReplyBusiness casual, the centrism of FASHion.

Isn’t athleisure wear one of the worst offenders for microplastics in clothing?
10 0 ReplyNot exactly the fault of consumers. All the shit we wear is toxically made and toxically disposed of. The recommendation I read was to not use dry detergent with synthetic fibers since it is more abrasive and more gets into the water.

I haven't heard any complaints
10 0 ReplyThe same people still think that proper etiquette means five different spoons and forks for a single meal
9 0 ReplyThat's literal bourgeois behaviour, does anyone even do that these days, even the bourgeoisie?
6 0 ReplyI've seen it at "fancy" academic conferences.

I kind of like having a salad fork sometimes but that's more of a sensory thing lol

I wear the same shirt and same sweat pants for the whole week and they’re black so the food and other stains aren’t visible
5 0 Replyit still looks like fucking shit?
5 0 ReplyClothing should in a way express your feelings and the way you see yourself relating to the world no? It's called honesty bucko
5 0 ReplyDo we really want to support that behavior though? All the libs and Republicans will come out in white sheets.
7 0 ReplySure and if you're keen on expressing yourself through undignified, consumerist fast fashion you honestly should stay home.
1 0 Reply
Who says this, who are you specifically mad at for whining about grocery outfits?
2 0 ReplyPeople over the age of 50 or with a net worth of $150,240 who stumble onto posts about fashion and think their opinions on etiquette are valuable
6 0 ReplyAlso more relevantly, If you look on Zionist subs you’ll see a lot of them calling Palestinians savages because… they wear adidas and sandals while resisting genocide.
4 0 ReplyTbf is that not usually more them shrieking about it making them illegitimate combatants rather than it being a fashion cop statement?

1 0 ReplyM-Maybe I just want the practice putting on goth makeup and clothes before I try them out somewhere low pressure.
