I tried the unflavored variant of this once and it tasted really bad. Is it supposed to be mixed? IIRC the alcohol content is something like 20% w/v so I thought it was meant to be consumed as is.
- Add some ice and mix it with carbonated water for the flavored variant. Unflavored is just people convincing themselves that it's good through sheer force of will and/or guys refusing "fruity" drinks.
  
  I have no qualms with putting fruit juice in drinks but pre-flavoured fruity drinks put too much sugar in them. I am calorie conscious when I obliterate my liver.

- The filtered "chamisol" variant is the most popular and tastes fine. The original Jinro tastes like bad sake. You can get better sake for cheaper. Sake can get mad cheap. Like $8 for over a liter.
  
  Spicy rice juice for good times
- You're generally supposed to shoot it or mix it with something, often a shitty domestic lager
  The main goal is to get hammered without spending a lot of money
  
  Mixing it with beer sounds like it might dehydrate you a lot
