  • I just helped out an excitable dog by the name of Sadie, who had gotten outside without authorisation and didn't know how to get back in. Fortunately her people were home. I now smell slightly of wet dog and have a few paw prints on my jeans.

  • Two hours of absolute brain frying over R and stats and plots with my supervisor on coffee and an empty stomach, hunched up on the floor in a tiny room... and that's just the beginning of a very packed day. I just want to go back to sleep 😭

    Late breakfast, then help mum with the shopping, then do a small bit of work that has to be done before 2pm my time, then no more screen time: help with cleaning up, lifting stuff, laundry, family friends coming over and then an early exit to go see my brother for dinner (which will involve some Big Conversations too). I have to quarantine my brain from all the cognitively taxing stuff before my head asplode. Python will wait till tomorrow

    PS chatgpt has admittedly been very helpful with breaking the inertia of getting started with basic coding. I feel like I'm getting dumber every time but needs must!

  • Still decluttering. This time I'm going through all the kid's toys that have been in storage so i can donate. She had a habit of writing her name on everything.

  • Finally received my order of a hoodie of a cute dog I follow on Instagram – nearly missed it as it’d been sitting at the post office for over a month with no notification that it’d even been sent. Post office lady told me having an Aus Post account would have helped. Oh well, I’m just glad I have it in time for the cool weather and the quality is better than I hoped! And it’s flippin’ ADORABLE!!
