Not trying to justify this but neither the article or anyone here is picking up on the detail that Russians have their "own" Santa, that's the guy dressed in blue.
So they are shooting down the western Santa and their kids still get their presents from their own Santa.
Idiotic video still but it is not like they kill Christmas worldwide. Just for everyone else, as in typical fashion.
"Father frost" is actually the "santa" version of many post-soviet countries, including Ukraine.
I'm missing where Russian Santa's presents are shown, he mostly seems to be involved in surprise pyrotechnics
