I hate this sentiment. Not all cops are bastards. Most are normal people like you or me… they really should have came up with a better acronym as this just breeds hatred rather than getting to the main point: the policing system likely needs reform.

I do care about privacy, and have been trying to convince those I live with to switch away from Ring because of it. I’m hoping there will be more convincing now with everything happening in the states.
I’m not the most knowledgeable on stuff like this, but with an airgapped system, how would that work for connecting? Realistically I’d like to be able to check the cameras when I’m away from home, and to me that sounds like it’s local only?

I’m using voyager currently and when adding a tag I can put a colour
as of right now I’m using Filen for cloud storage. not Canadian, but they are e2ee and I’ve already paid for lifetime storage so I’ve no reason to switch, but that’s good to know should I ever choose to :)
why is that? I’m not into the whole self-hosting thing. I understand it’s better, but I prefer the convenience of off-loading that hassle to someone else.
