How to help someone I know?
Thanks!
For the languages I’m learning:
Spanish, I generally prefer terms like elle (they), amigue (friend, gender neutral), etc.
Similarly, elu with Portuguese
Dukaisms with Polish
And hen for Norwegian

Thanks! Working on it!

I can’t gather headphones usually, and if I do change the subject, she screams at me more or asks how dare I ignore her. Typically she believes nothing is her fault, sadly :)
I can try though!
I’m fine with “my man” now :)
In 2021, I struggled with intense dysphoria which caused me to feel bad every time someone mentioned things like male parts, or gendered language.
I’ve seen girls in high school do that
That makes sense! I generally don’t care what I’m called (he or she), but I prefer neutral language. I used to hate (but not as much now) gendered terms such as “What’s up my man?” Or “This man”.
If you know a gendered language, do you prefer using gendered vocabulary for yourself or gender neutral?
The nerve of that guy’s friend… he bought him CHEESE!
Bilingual people, when you were/if you are in school, did/do you ever talk to someone who speaks your language in that language so that the teachers won’t understand?
jeg forsto alt xD/ik begreep alles
Oh, jeg så at du er nederlandsk :) Hoe gaat het dan met je
Yeah, I agree
Hvilket språk kan du?
That’s kind of wholesome :)
What the heck?
Also, are you perchance plural? So are we :)
What a stupid argument indeed. 😓 I knew someone who told their friend, TO MY FACE, that non-binary people don’t exist. I guess I’m not real.
Thanks so much!! I think it’s because I’m neurodivergent, but I can’t say for sure
Oh yeah, I saw those posts...
Maybe mod could remove them?
I knew a girl who tiraba el perro al novio de su amiga, so I guess she also was trying to chapulinear xD
(jeg er fra USA) er det noen som kjenner sangen «Pepsi Power» av Fattern? jeg har pepsi
Why do some people in the USA assume all immigrants are illegal and should "go back to where they came from"? Shouldn't that logic apply to all non-Native Americans?
