We're seeing from the White House that written words, rules, and laws are meaningless to them. They're only a permanent member because words say so, and the members are willing to honour those words. If the USA were to attack another NATO member I'm sure those words can and will be ignored.
Bullshit. People avoid politics and have loud opinions all the time. I understand your burden, the state of the world is depressing af, but to claim that the ignorant keep their opinions to themselves is absurd.
To clarify though, the news isn't really politics. The news is theatre.
I agree that people can live their reality how they want but it also has to be remembered that everything is political so if you avoid politics it's hard to complain when things aren't going your way. Particularly if you live in a democratic system.
This video by the UK's Electoral Commission always sticks in my mind about politics
It didn't appear in my apps list and yet if I looked at the link to the play store it said it was installed... maybe double check you don't have it by looking it up on the play store as well. Fishy to say the least

If the local council won't keep drivers safe, you can. There's only so many times they'll pay to repair it before determining it costs too much.
The report doesn't urge that at all. It urges a further report be done to determine the advantages and disadvantages as this wasn't fully in the scope of this particular report. They note other countries have done it with success but that the welfare of keeping cats locked indoors all the time would also need to be considered.
The full report is available here:
The relevant pages are 23 and 24, 37, and 43.
Because then it wouldn't be wild garlic any more, would it? 😝
For some reason I'm just seeing a headline with no hyperlink. Here's the link if anyone else has the same issue

A good minimalist text based launcher that's open source is Olauncher. Maybe not what you're after (comparing it to Smart Launcher) but thought I'd suggest it just in case.
And yet, it's still the right answer
Nazis don't tend to explicitly state their support of Nazis. Even they know it's taboo.
I sometimes fear that people think that fascism arrives in fancy dress worn by grotesques and monsters as played out in endless re-runs of the Nazis.
Fascism arrives as your friend. It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you...
It doesn't walk in saying, "Our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."
- Michael Rosen
"Who cares if I helped fund the Nazi party, I got good value out of it!"
I'm not saying Proton are Nazis. I'm not saying the CEO is a Nazi. However, when someone shows you their true colours, believe them. He has a positive view of Trump, a known racist, rapist, and con-man. Just because the product is good doesn't mean it's okay to pay for it when you know that money helps to pay a Trump fan.
This is the worldwide web, there are many alternatives.
I think it's fair considering they're stating Elon has no allegiance to any country. He's a billionaire. He's the billionaire. He's beyond borders. This is a game for him.
I think it's also important to highlight his South African origins. South Africa is a famously racist country which his family was/is part of the elite of. His Nazism and white supremacist views didn't materialise from nowhere.
They're on a slippery slope, yes, but they've not slid down it. Their words were reasonable.

There was an update a while ago that lets you turn it off if you want. I've almost forgotten it's sound. Almost.
Not that it'll do much, but signed regardless
I've been trying for weeks to get friends to move to Signal. They don't have to delete WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger to use Signal. Some of these people have got degrees in various computer disciplines and still won't even give it a try. I don't understand the reluctance to try new software either. If their job or uni asks them to use a piece of software they'll try it no bother but if a friend asks it's impossible. It's so strange.
And the aliens definitely aren't allegory for capitalists
