What's the worst video game you've ever played?
  • There were parts of RDR2 that I adored and parts I loathed. Riding around exploring, hunting, and discovering the environment was a joy. I put a ton of hours into the game just doing that.

The quests were a nightmare to me. Ride to location A to get the quest. Ride to location B to start the quest. Ride to location C as part of the quest and if you dare to wander off the exact route or try an innovative solution and you FAIL

  • E-reader suggestion
  • Another happy Libra 2 owner. I came from an older Kindle Paperwhite. There was a week or so of adjustment to some minor gripes, but not sending more money to Amazon was worth it to me.

    • it's slightly larger and heavier
    • it's slightly less responsive
    • the dark mode button isn't on the main reading screen, it's buried in a menu screen

You can install custom interfaces but I haven't dug too deeply into that. I tried Koreader briefly but it looked like a Linux window manager from 1995 and I didn't have time to tinker with it so I rolled back to stock.

  • What is your favorite music streaming service?
  • Google Play Music was my favorite of them all. Good UI, good music selection, decent quality, good integration with my Google ecosystem. Then Google did a Google and turned it into YouTube Music.

Spotify was a decent replacement - the best part was how it has an app on EVERYTHING. I listen to mostly albums so the mediocre playlists and crap shuffling rarely factor in. The worst was funding Joe Rogan, price increases, and paying artists shit.

Tidal pays artists more, and they have higher quality audio, though the UI is kind of meh. At least I'm not indirectly funding Joe Rogan anymore.

  • most comfortable brand of boxer briefs?
  • They're expensive in upfront costs, but I think they're more cost effective in the long run. I'm a husky guy who runs hot, so all the regular Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, etc. stuff would wear out yearly - I'd get tears between the thighs or dead elastic in the waistband - and get wicked swampy.

I think the oldest of my buck naked boxer briefs are about 5 years old now and are still going strong. They cut down on swamp ass too.

If you keep an eye out, they go on sale pretty regularly, so I'd grab a couple pairs here and there and over time replaced all my underwear with them.

  • Shit libertarians say.
  • Maybe I'm just cynical but literally nothing surprised me in the book.

    Nut jobs with guns? Check.

    Nut jobs feeding bears? Check.

Nut jobs accused of sex crimes against children? Check.

Nut jobs infighting about muh freedoms? Check.

Nut jobs surprised when leopards bears eat their faces? Check.

  • Alternative to Nova Launcher
  • I tried a number of them but never found one that felt right. I went back to the stock Pixel launcher. It's far from perfect but I'm getting too old to tinker on features I'm not using anymore. I use the same 4 or 5 apps every day so it wasn't worth the time investment.

  • Baldur's Gate 3 Dev Larian Working on Additional Evil Endings, and 'They're Really Evil'
  • If you avoid initiating the conversation with him, the two human/drow/humanoids will patrol a bit and conveniently both stop under a large chandelier that has a little pin holding it up. Dropping it can one-shot them both.

There are candles all over that dais that will ignite grease pools.

There's a wooden bridge behind and above Dror that will easily break and drop whoever is standing on it into the chasm.

Knock a goblin into the pit behind them and there are two spiders that will eat them.

Using the environment to your advantage helps a ton.
