This post was inspired by me wondering how I got one. I'm pretty sure it was from opening junk mail, one of the few ways I interact with paper anymore.
I'd recommend checking out 4d Toys - I believe it is compatible with VR so you could sort of do what you're describing.

This is an interesting idea. A few potential issues come to mind:
- In this system, each community needs moderators from each instance it is on. A small instance run by one person would face a challenge finding people to moderate potentially hundreds of communities.
- You mention that a user who doesn't like their instance's moderation can use a different instance, but this isn't easy. There's no account migration at the moment. This is more of an issue with the lack of that functionality, since there are many other reasons people would want to switch instances.
- If this was implemented, presumably it would require merging all existing communities that share names. There may be some big differences in the culture and content of these instances which could cause problems. You'll find different content in the "memes" communities on lemmy.world, slrpnk.net, and hexbear.net.
I read that as "water flavored powder", and was going to say that sounds terrible.

update - after doing some research online, I found I was able to just reply to the text message with "yes" and it confirmed the reservation.
I got absurdly lucky in the early game and got a negative Ballot and a Triboulet, along with Spare Trousers and some other decent jokers. I worked on getting more kings and queens and building up the trousers. Then I got to The Needle, went through all my discards without getting a pair of kings or queens, and lost. Sad thing is I had Director's Cut, but I'd been beating every blind in one hand so I thought it was a sure thing.

I'm a mod of !communitytv@lemmy.world, although my user is on discuss.tchncs.de. I mainly asked to be made a mod to remove an old sticky post, but I've seen it come back after unfeaturing it a couple of times. Today I tried to unfeature it again, about an hour ago. Currently it does not show up as featured on my instance, but it still does on lemmy.world. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I was never able to pull off Obelisk before, but I had the perfect setup this time - the deck was mostly diamonds and clubs, and I got an early flush joker so I was playing nothing but flushes anyway when Obelisk showed up. Got up to 12 flushes before starting to play other hands.
