yarn was popular because it could be a drop down replacement for npm. Now there must be a lock in to support edge cases most projects don’t need (or know about)?
I think all large organizations have several people who wish to do good, or at least dream of it. And those trying make good stories and provide hope.
Perhaps we are evolutionary designed to be drawn towards such people.
But it does squat all for 99.999% of the people caught up in these events
There was one Schindler and ten thousand monsters.
20 cents, take it or leave it
I’ve been against electronic voting in the USA for years. Many states, especially the so called battleground states, rely on these for the most of the results.
People like me, who say paper ballots only please, have been ignored by the very people who are upset by outcomes calculated by procedures they cannot possibly explain ( it’s secret). Who will, until their dying day, swear they have faith in the integrity of these system because their cousin’s friend’s uncle knows somebody who works in sales who says it’s ok.
It really does not have to be that way. It’s a uniquely American trait, I think.
For many here, they can find comfort with each other.
For me, the initial disaster has not stopped, it started over a generation ago, and continues in its original form and fashion. And will be ignored by most reading this.
Where I am at, it’s much easier to just stuff things into bags without a care, and have God figure it out at the checkout
For me it is entering correct vegetable and fruit codes. I found it fun and a novelty when self checkout was first introduced, now I will go out of my way, slightly, to not enter or scan
Self service started in the USA about a decade earlier due to minimum wage hikes: entrepreneurial attempts to cut off until then required pumping jobs succeeded, much to everyone’s surprise.
Then devious concept followed in Europe about a decade later, about the time the time this picture was taken. Still most were full service there
Is there a link about how to contribute financially to this server?
At least they are attracted to adults and not caterpillars
This may actually revive community support for some churches! Ice will not raid a church that has protesters blocking the door.
And what better way to thank the community than by offering food and activities?
My opinion is that it is hard for very large human organizations to change, much less entrenched pro-business conservative parties.
The token left attached to it will remain unattractive to leftists because what can it do besides come up with nicknames for itself? And that’s when their party is in power
Yes some individuals are ok. Some state level stuff is ok.
The national party is a lost cause, and I think this will be seen more and more as fascism rises. A scapegoat will be needed; and here is one ready made. These individuals will be more hampered by the fallout than helped by the association.
Why should I pay attention to the national party? They have no power or redeeming features
I think the reason I switched back was because my computer was underused - a lot of the memory was free and the fans hardly ever came on, except when gaming.
But now windows uses every bit of my ram, filled up my hard disk and the fans are humming along.
Thanks Microsoft!!
Honestly, I know this is entirely subjective, but I never liked the vibes from proton especially in the last year. I’m going to use my animal instincts and just avoid them.
That said, I really need new email service so looking at options
I had similar issues with my pro-Palestinian views, and dislike towards USA centered liberalism; so I just left and blocked many of their default communities
This is early days; I have a feeling in a few short years there will be ownership and simplicity of distributed services and whatever evolves from them.
It’s compatible with banning original links, and can break later
