Dethroning lemmy.ml, lemm.ee rises as the second most active instance

  • I believe that your admins are blocking that information from being scraped. If that's not the case, then it's probably due to the fact that you guys run a unqiue fork of the Lemmy code.

But it's certainly not about the timing, afaik.

  • Well, you've got a 3 year head start as I understand it, no?

Hexbear is at 1.62k MAUs, good for 7th most on Lemmy (ignoring lemmynsfw.com because it's presumably filled with alts).

But your 3.7 million comments absolutely dwarf every other server. Props on that, but it's largely representative of past activity.

  • Stupid sexy Massachusetts

  • The distinction between projected and guaranteed is irrelevant when you're projected to make a billion dollars. The Barbie IP, paired with the cast and crew, was an absolute juggernaut from the beginning.

You're correct in that everything ultimately stems from capitalism, but in this particular instance, certain producers could have made less greedy decisions and the film would have been better for it.

That's what this discussion is supposed to be about. You're kind of talking past OP.

  • I can see the image, but the transcription still helps to clarify the meaning.

  • Word. That's rough that you can't see the instance, on my phone I can almost see the entire @imaqtpie@lemmy.villa-straylight.social, except for the last two letters. I do have 20/20 vision and probably use a smaller font size. I also have a large screen.

    How to sort alt accounts?

    syncforlemmy Sync For Lemmy @lemmy.ml

This is not the official Sync community!

  • Where do you see that in the app?

Edit: !syncforlemmy@lemmy.world is the real community

  • TIL. When it comes to compound words, Germans really are the master race.

  • You can transfer your subscriptions using this tool, but your posts and comments obviously can't be transferred.

At least that's what I've been told, I haven't used it myself.

  • Oof that's brutal. Didn't realize it was that bad.

There's a lot of small instances wanting to become medium/big instances and share the load, but people need to show a bit of initiative and join them. I just made this account, and here's a list of a few other small servers with room to spare. YMMV but these all look pretty solid at a glance.
