Literally the biggest economy and country with the most people in the EU. Ireland has the ICB Austria has the KSV1870.

And the other countries have also alternative schemes in Place where data about unpaid bills/debts is stored. Like the BKR in your home country Netherlands.

So, no we're not literally the only country in Europe that has credit ratings/scores.

That couldn't be more wrong, at least in Germany we have SCHUFA scores, which are essentially the same. You won't ever rent an apartment, get a bank account or a phone contract without a good score with them.

And Credit Cards are also widespread. True we don't use them in everyday life much, but for travelling abroad or online Shopping. And the Debit versions become more popular in the last years. But for renting a car and stuff the "real" credit cards are still essential

Klarna offers many payment options. (Credit Cards, Instant Bank Transfer from your Account, SEPA Direct Debit, by Bill etc...) Buy Now Pay Later is just one of them.

There is no difference to PayPal or CreditCards where you can also buy stuff with money you don't have (hence the "Credit" in Credit Card) or PayPals "Pay in 30 days or installments"-Option.

Or what am I missing?

Because they offer many more legit payment options than "Buy now, pay later". And I very much prefer to use Klarna when paying online than PayPal, because at least the money doesn't go to Trump. SEPA Direct Debit is my favourite, but it isn't offered in many online Stores.

Das stimmt nicht. Das ist ein weit verbreiteter Mythos. Die Lebenshaltungskosten sind nicht teurer als in Deutschland.

Äh doch, PPP ist eine standardisierte validierte Messmethode zum Vergleich der Kaufkraft, und viele Sachen sind eben auch deutlich teurer, zum Beispiel Lebensmittel, Dienstleistungen, Straßen, Brücken und Tunnel die bemautet sind etc...

Du musst dich z.B. privat im Gesundheitswesen versichern, aber tatsächlich ist das bei selber Deckung wie bei der deutschen Gesetzlichen günstiger

Noch mehr Blödsinn. Die USA geben trotz deutlich schlechteren Outcomes und deutlich weniger Leistungsberechtigten deutlich mehr für ihr Gesundheitssystem aus. Und am Ende bekommen nicht Mal die reichsten 5/1% der Bevölkerung bessere Outcomes als John Doe in Westeuropa

Energiekosten wie Strom und Sprit sind um ein vielfaches günstiger (Faktor 3 oder 4).

Nö, es ist höchstens Faktor 2, ein Blick zu Destatis hätte gereicht um da nicht mit alternativen Fakten arbeiten zu müssen, aber wie gesagt, mein Lebensentwurf ist es nicht in einem verkackten Suburb zu leben, und dann jeden Tag 2h mit dem Autozur Arbeit pendeln zu müssen. Ich bin ganz dankbar in einem Land zu leben, wo ich guten Öffentlichen Verker und Fahrradinfrastruktur habe, und alles in der Nähe schnell erledigen kann.

Und falls mal irgendwas in deinem Leben ungeplant schief läuft, bist du hier auch deutlich besser abgesichert.

Aber ich Wette dein Plan wäre dann natürlich sich hier dann wieder ins gemachte Nest der Solidargemeinschaft zu setzen oder?

In den USA hast du auch viel höhere Lebenshaltungskosten als bei uns (sieht man auch gut daran wie deren großer BIP-Vorsprung zusammenschmilzt wenn man es in PPP vergleicht)

Und außerdem musst du halt vieles extra zahlen was bei uns über Steuern geht. Und dort auch leben wollen.
