I enjoyed D4. The art and music were top notch. The gameplay was fun, pretty on par with past diablo games, and definitely does get old after a bit.
Lol, is this your first onion article?
Agreed that privacy can be a concern. Ideally it will be possible to run LLMs locally in the near future, but we'll see.
How about a bubble like the internet? 90% of dotcoms failed in the 90s but the internet is alive and strong today. AI is just a tool, and from my experience an extremely useful one.
Specifically what about AI don't you agree with?
Again, there are many people that use the "doom and gloom" climate change prophecies that haven't come true yet as an excuse to ignore the problem entirely. Better to be factual and correct.
Still, better to use solid data when making arguments.
People like that point at any article with weak data as validation that climate change has no basis. It's better to not give them that opportunity.
I disagree with this. Don't give deniers any more ammunition than they already have. There's enough verifiable data on the topic that we don't need to shoot ourselves in the foot by resorting to sloppy science.
That said, I would love to see every news story end with: "In recent years there's been a statically significant increase in severe weather due to climate change."
I mean, it is true though. It's difficult to attribute any individual storm to climate change. A statistically significant rise in the number and intensity of storms though would be a strong indicator. Does anyone know if there's a website or scientific journal currently tracking this?
I know this is a meme, but I ran into this same issue and it was due to the fact that the length of the tubing between my wall and toilet was too long. Once I got a shorter tube the pressure went up significantly.
It's AI generated lol
Machine learning falls under the category of AI. I agree that works produced by LLMs should count as derivative works, as long as they're not too similar.
The joke is that the shrimp fried the rice, rather than the shrimp being in the fried rice. Because the dish is called "shrimp fried rice".
A Canadian news site posting an article about a Canadian citizen killed in another country seems reasonable to me.
I sort of agree with you, but at the same time the wealthy are always the earliest adopters for expensive new technology. Them buying overpriced luxury cars helps subsidize the development of the tech for the rest of us. And when they switch to a new car in 5 years it adds more stock to the used car market for people that can't afford the cutting edge but still want to own an EV.
I don't understand it either, but still, there is a very active used car market these days. It's not like those 5 year old cars are getting thrown in the dump.
But like you said, it's not what the original poster meant. That's just the cutoff for when it is less environmentally harmful than an ICE car.
Things that are out of the ordinary make it into the headlines. This is a German citizen captured by Hamas during their invasion of Israel. Very out of the ordinary. No need to bring race into it.
