  • I would like that, the structure would not.

For now all I have is a dragon tree that needs extra attention I need advice on, and an aloe plant.

  • The first time I played that I was at the tail end of a marathon session from hyperfixating on the game.

I quit playing for a week because the cutscenes.

And of course beat it first try with no warm up when I came back...

  • Saturday was really warm here, like "t-shirt and jeans weather" warm.

I was in the middle of walking between buildings when the clouds broke.

I immediately turned toward the sun and for one, shining moment, I channeled the spirit of Solaire of Astoria. For a brief moment, I was so grossly incandescent.

I decided "fuck this I'm going home and practicing archery." so I stood out in the sun for an hour and a half until the sun dipped below the trees.

I really need to get one of those full spectrum light panels that helps with seasonal affective disorder, or like a vitamin d lamp or something. It doesn't help that my current residence has no windows, so all light is artificial and to get any sun I have to actually go outside.

  • I've been taking noise canceling earbuds for my wife and I. Whenever the kids start getting too loud, we pop them in. I'm not even listening to anything, I'm just using them to take the edge off.

  • You take that back, I protect my marines while playing!

You know.... As much as possible while charging headfirst into the most powerful empire the galaxy has seen in 100,000 years hell bent on destroying humanity and all we represent...

  • Ah yes, that pursuit and sharing of knowledge known as "paying a shitload of money for the privilege of making a company that ultimately provides nothing of value some extra cash"

I didn't know ml is cool with ultracapitalism as long as it's under the veneer of knawlege.

  • Everything else about musk and his companies: a-ok

    Extra cost? UNACCEPTABLEREEEEEEEEE!

I mean, good. As it should be, but like.... Money is where they draw the line.

  • His entire style was just to cover up the fact that he couldn't draw cats... Amazing and 100% completely not made up fact.

  • Almost entirely fiction, a couple dozen a year. I'm currently rereading a book series with around 20 books, I think.

Not considering audio books in the statistic is a little weird and comes off as attempted gatekeeping... If someone has taken the time to consume book media, it shouldn't matter if it was listened to or not. My wife is dyslexic and listenes to quite a few audio books a year, but can only finish a couple print books.

  • ... VALAK?

  • No, they just want to hide the "undesirables" under someone else's rug.

Ultinately they don't care if that "rug" ends up being "prison"

  • I've started asking people "do you have any independently verified statistics to back that up?" and when they start justifying why the answer is no or trying to say anything other than "yes and here they are" I just hit the with "So no, then. The answer is 'no I don't have anything that backs up what I'm saying in reality'" and usually that shuts them up because they don't rant to talk to me anymore. Which is fine by me. It's usually in-laws.

  • I love the first one. It's great. Sets up so much possibility that you get to imagine: how did vampires and werewolves behave and hide throughout time, how do they plan on staying hidden without dying out, what's next after the hybrids.... The action is perfect, the fights are fast paced but easily followed. The romantic bits feel a bit forced but not off-puttingly so, more just unnecessary I feel but I'm sure plenty enjoy it.

The sequels are fun, too. I generally don't watch them after I finish the first one. Just not my favorites. Same thing with John Wick.

  • NTA hit the sister delete the kids and wedding up

Spot on, my wife likes listening to those stories read by that annoying Ai voice.

  • I'm sure plenty of nazis were afraid of losing their jobs. In the end, they "just followed orders".

  • But the business analysts are the most profitable group, anywhere! If you don't believe me just hire a business analyst to analyze things and they'll prove it to you!

  • it sure seems like they’re colluding to restrict the amount of oil in the market

    Um....

Yes? 100% always has been, they literally have meetings and what is essentially a corporate union specifically to do it. And they're not subtle about it.

Is this really news to some people?
