Yes that or Tin Cup (1996). Apparently peak year for golf movies. Legend of Baggar Vance (2000) was a few years later. There was a tiny window for mainstream golf movies.
Rocky? Rocky 2-4? Slap Shot (1977) is fantastic.
For basketball I'd say Hoosiers (1986) is good. For American Football? Jerry Maguire (1996).
What are the best soccer, cricket, or racing movies?
I'm sure you and everyone else understand, attendance isn't proof of anything beyond box office numbers. Many theaters are empty that's how they know to show something new.
Depends on how much Star Trek we've been watching lately.
Every theater has about 2 seats blocked off because they squeak too much and have been complained about. I'm blown away at the amount of religious content at theaters. There is tons. Some of it is basically like going to evangelical church. They're not movies they're sermons in theaters.
This one is made by a D'Souza, the same name behind that movie about ballot boxes being stuffed in 2020. It's nonsense.
I'm at the stage where if I sit around too much it starts to hurt, but if I make healthy choices and exercise everything is still fine. It's like my body requires healthy choices. Wasn't like that before.
Simpsons did it!
"Well, frankly, test scores like Larry's would call for a very generous contribution. For example, a score of 400 would require a donation of new football uniforms, 300, a new dormitory, and in Larry's case, we would need an international airport."
That's terrible and it sucks, but honestly they announced the team moving April 2023. They gave 1.5 years notice 1.5 years ago right? How much more do you expect?
Had to get past the top 10 before I saw mine.
Use this as your open thread for Thursday Night Football
That's a loss. Gotta make room for what are essentially televised radio shows. Can't have enough of those.
UNLV starting quarterback Matthew Sluka announced Tuesday night on social media that he will not play in any more games this season.
Not clear yet, no confirmation one way or another. I would assume the old name is still under consideration.
What does accountability look like to you? You can't fire the owner. Look at the Cleveland Browns. Would you trade for that? The guy who wanted to trade for Massage Watson?
There is zero accountability in the NFL. It's a playground for the team owners. Jerry Jones is consistently a little above average, is that really so terrible?
Cowboys are a victim of their own insane level of media exposure. The team owner shouldn't have a twice weekly radio spot. It's good for money in the short term, but it's terrible for long term scrutiny. He shouldn't be out there apologizing for every loss.
Basically his ideas are automatically the good ideas, and since Harris isn't gonna do the exact same thing as him that means she'll be bad. Same logic in saying she'll be bad for Israel, the southern border, etc.
None, and I can offer proof:
-
The Taking of Pelham 123 (1974) the crime was committed without cell phones, but in the 2009 remake with Denzel Washington they had cell phones and still chose to commit the crime.
-
The Manchurian Candidate (1962) we have a political assassination without cell phones. But in the 2004 remake with Denzel Washington the cell phones do not stop the criminals from being criminals.
-
Man on Fire (1987) the crime is a kidnapping. Then in the 2004 remake (with Denzel) again we see the same kidnapping is still committed with cell phones.
You add cell phones and Denzel Washington to the situation, and seems like nothing much changes.
In Oregon you are so far away from sports teams in MLB, NFL, etc. that you get to pick any team. Not rare at all to see people wearing stuff for random far away teams, and the lack of loyalty to one team feels right at home too.
But in numerous captain's logs Janeway explains how their adventures weren't a delay at all, and actually saved them lots of time.
They don't justify it, they just do it. Same with gerrymandering.
Lots of places have rules about how many polling stations per county. It's designed to create lines to vote in cities and no lines in rural areas.
Yeah they also moved the extra point backwards in 2015 after a season when over 99% of extra points were successful.
The kicking has been amazing this year. Seems like anything short of 60 yards is going in.
Portland's new WNBA team will be owned by RAJ Sports, led by controlling owner Lisa Bhathal Merage and her brother, Alex Bhathal -- who also are the majority owners of the NWSL's Portland Thorns. The team will play at the Moda Center.
Americantall.com is where I've been buying from recently. Do you have another option? ' I'm 6'4" and 200 pounds. A typical large is too short. XL and XXL is wider and not longer. I need a place to order a Large X-Long.
