i know a few students at MSU and watched this whole thing unfold over the last few weeks. i was very disappointed with the school leadership for allowing this to happen. what happened to him there should have been worse, but i was glad to see the student body come together to make this subhuman garbage feel unwelcome.
there's way bigger problems to worry about. there's an excuse for everyone if you really get down to it. there's reason for sympathy if you're really into buddhism, but we need to be solving big picture problems and we can't do that in a timely manner if we worry too much about the individual. this is about helping the larger welfare of all beings.
i hope it hits him real hard. make an example out of these people.
literally
would
you know exactly what i'm saying. the question is: how long until we realize that if we don't do something, we begin down an irreversible path?
these people had a beautiful idea:

This plus benevolent AI = utopia. and we could be building it now, but capitalism is going to kill all of us instead. arm yourselves if you want to see life on this planet last another century.
i wonder how scared the bible thumping conservatives would be if that guy turned up dead.
and you won't do shit about it
their rights ARE inconvenient to my other political aims and they WERE mean to me on several occasions. why should i care about them? they're a tiny sliver of the population and have almost NO bearing on the welfare of society as a whole. furthermore, trans women ARE a threat to vulnerable women when placed in women's safe spaces. TERF FOR LIFE. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
FUCKIN BLOCK ME ALREADY YOU LITTLE PUSSY BITCH. JESUS CHRIST YOU'RE ALL A BUNCH OF SNOWFLAKES.
something you have a say in is never somebody else's fault when it goes wrong. we have known that they were a bunch of knuckle dragging morons, so why did we ever let them have any agency AT ALL? those people should have been put in reeducation camps a long time ago, but instead we let them overturn Roe vs Wade WITH ZERO REPERCUSSIONS. the left has gone soft.
THE ENTIRETY OF ALL THESE SUBS IS SHIT POSTING MEMES. you're all a bunch of do-nothings and i'm sick of it.
you can always find out in person. just PM me.
the kind that beats little pacifists into submission.
get angry. anger gets shit done. anger is a motivator. stop being complacent.
at this point, i'm not even that attached to the 'left'. the two sides have descended into so much tribalism, i forgot what the point was.
once upon a time, i had a naive notion that i might see some kind of new golden age of mankind emerge in my lifetime - an age of reason and humanity, where we used science to reduce suffering globally for all creatures. i believed the left was far more capable of achieving that than a bunch of backwards, christofascist conservatives, but i don't even know if the left is reaching for those goals any more.
all i see now is a bunch of children that are completely obsessed with protecting a tiny fraction of the population at all costs, even if it means alienating anyone not in the lgbt camp. no one cares about the environment anymore. everyone talks about income equality and an end to police brutality but i don't see anyone actually standing up to the fascists. every time the proud boys show up in portland, they just beat the shit out of the locals, who stand helplessly by with their phones out.
the far left used to be willing to blow up banks, train for guerilla warfare, and generally get shit done, but now it's just a bunch of weenies crying about their fee fees. at this rate you'll all be whipped into submission in the next 10 years.
and meanwhile, i'm just sitting here trying to accept that nothing i hoped to see will ever happen, and that i'll go to the grave with no assurance of a better world for the people that come after me.
but hey, at least i won't have to fight in the water wars 30 years from now. i'm just so done with all this shit.
there are plenty of people on the left that are sick of trans people making everything about them. get out of your bubble.
it's just a niche issue that frankly turns some people away. it has nothing to do with republicans, but rather getting centrists and undecided voters into our camp.
