One is going to be picked for you either way. Not voting doesn't stop the shit eating from happening, just allows the lighting on fire to also happen.
By choosing the less shit option, politicians will see they need to be less shit to get elected, eventually to the point of maybe even having good candidates. Allowing the worst candidate to win tells the politicians they can get worse and still have their coveted power.
They do, but they shouldn't. You should not ask a stranger to change their behavior because you cannot control your own. Maybe family would do it for you, but even then it's can be a shitty thing to do.
I expect this to get a lot of negative input, but the Orca's free roam space is actually 3x the size they've highlighted. And granted, it's really small compared to the oceans of the world, but someone's purposely lying, and to make the point they don't even need to. Just had to try to get the multiplier to move a tiny bit more, like that would be the sway point.
Still not sure what people expect SeaWorld to do with the orcas they currently have. Should they all be shot? Is that better for the orcas? They would starve to death if released.
I would if I didn't fear that the scarcity will then be artificial to keep groups in power. The idea is beautiful, our current direction is terrifying.
It kills me that my brain is so pedantic I needed to come into the comments to make sure that a correction (or a more accurate pun) was made. I'm much more grateful for your pun than an actual correction.
Man have I got bad news for you. Almost everything uses idiots as the baseline for making stuff. They're so numerous. Probably because everyone's an idiot about something.
Apparently, the classification levels in the US are illegal! Snowden will rejoice, he can come home, as the first amendment allows free speech, even when it damages national security.
I did not read the article, but the summary made me actually laugh out loud. Hell the supreme court has already said the government has the right to intern a whole class of US citizens based on national security. The SCOTUS rulings do seem rather crazy at times to me though, so perhaps this is a winning strategy for ByteDance.
Two things are happening simultaneously Russia/China are trying to spread discontent, and Trumps followers are being told they no longer have to abide by social norms that keeps societies civil.
I believe the uncivil thing just always comes in waves as the people that don't like change are forced to change and get resentful. Some kind of event happens and resets the floor, or all the people that don't want to change die off, and things settle down.
And this is the mental framework through which I see the world.
They ask what will happen next. My guess is... nothing changes, someone in the future whistleblows, and 'kills themselves' with a double tap to the back of the head. It's a toss up whether the public will ever know of the whole ordeal.
This is dumb, diplomats have been talking to each other the whole time. Not like they just started asking the Houthis to stop targeting ships, they've been asking the whole time, and will continue to ask for it to stop, even as missiles fly on both sides.
I think The Lockpicking Lawyer (YouTuber)has consistently put out good April's fools videos.
I do have a sophomoric sense of humor though, and they are all based on innuendo.
I must admit, I saw the videos before watching the movie. Based on the content of the videos, decided I could skip watching the movie. I imagine PipedBot will be along shortly with the other links.
