First of all, no. They won't exist and can't establish anything similar if the party gets forbidden. They won't be able to do shit.

Als ich in NL wohnte, war ich auf einer Ganztagsschule. Jeden Tag bis 16:30, außer Mittwochs. Da war schon um 12:15 Schluss. Wir haben halt in der Schule gearbeitet und gelernt. Nach der Schule konnten wir machen was wir wollten. Das war für mich als ADHS Kind mega gut. Kaum kam ich nach Deutschland und NICHTS hat funktioniert. Das Schulsystem hierzulande ist absoluter elitärer Müll.

Auf meinem Pixel 7 Pro, das ich schon länger besitze. Ich plane auch nicht in absehbarer Zeit umzustellen...

Hab noch nie was von Apple besessen und zocken kann man mittlerweile auch auf Linux ganz gut. GrapheneOS gegen google und soziale Medien außer Lemmy nutze ich schon lange nicht mehr. Das geht schon klar ohne den Amis. Lediglich bei Filmen und Serien wird es schwierig.

I have a feeling this is a very american thing. Random encounters with the other sex were the norm in Germany (at least before tinder and the likes, no idea how it's nowadays). Being confident got you a long way. Not always, mind you. But often enough. Most women actually like being spoken to, as long as it's a friendly encounter. I believe it might be different in America because everyone there is trying to one up each other (often resulting in loud and annoying behavior). I wouldn't want to be chatted up by the cliche american guy either.

Ich habe direkt nach dem Abitur eine Fachhochschule besucht und Maschinenbau studiert. Ich war übelst neidisch auf die Vielen, die schon eine Ausbildung hinter sich hatten. Bis heute (arbeite schon seit 13 Jahren als Ingenieur) fühle ich mich wie ein Hochstapler, wenn ich an irgendwas arbeite, was jemand nachher bauen muss. Ich weiß ich kann das und bin eigentlich auch gut darin, aber ich habe immer das Gefühl, wertvolle Praxiserfahrung verpasst zu haben.

Milliardäre werden Milliardäre, weil sie über Leichen gehen. Es sind inhärent schlechte Menschen. Diese Menschen dürfen keine Macht besitzen.

Millionäre sind nicht das Problem. Milliardäre hingegen schon. Mit ein paar Millionen kannst du nicht wahnsinnig viel bewegen in der welt. Mit Milliarden bestimmst du, wie die welt funktioniert.

I admit, the wording here is a bit... Weird. But my guess is, the OP just doesn't want their kids subjected to drama 24/7. Evolution really had nothing in store to deal with the sheer amount of information that Smartphones provide. It's unnatural and very unhealthy for the mind. Drama face to face? Sure! That's part of life. Internet drama? Fuck that noise. Humans need rest from certain areas of life, which they don't get with the 24/7 online aspect of phones.

I do agree with the dumbphone bit. A dumphone makes a lot of sense, e.g. in the case of an emergency. Plus, they can call their friends, which has way more social merit than texting does.

I think you're interpreting way too much into that person's post. And wrongly too.

I know I am buying it once the price goes down considerably. Wasn't it rumoured to start with 3 digits? I'm a patient gamer.
