Nessa "more commonly known as *Miss Nessa*" lounging in her bed near her window.
  • She will not lay on a human.

Hmm. I believe you, but I am up for the challenge and can earn her love! Can I stay with you for a month or two? I'll take the time off work and pay for my own food!

I genuinely love that you are giving this complicated, fuzzy being the best life you can, and working around her issues... ❤️ Good human! ❤️

  • Millennials know all about this. And the hate-mongers of today will die with nobody to remember them
  • Do you have an example where "more perspective just means witnessing more atrocities"? I think you're thinking of "awareness".

There's definitely an argument for limiting "doom and gloom news for ones own mental health...

  • Associate: to join as a partner, friend, or companion; They were closely associated with each other during the war.

See? I can paste definitions too! I was merely pointing out that that specific word choice could lead the reader to infer collaboration or partnership. The comic is clearly not endorsing that worldview...

  • US judge demoted after detaining teenage girl during field trip to courtroom
  • "Unhoused" is callous and "homeless" is not?

While others are downvoting you for missing the point (possibly because I was already attempting to consider them with empathy and dignity), I probably should have actually said "person experiencing homelessness", and have edited it as such.

In 2020, an entry on homelessness was added to The Associated Press Stylebook noting how "Homeless is generally acceptable as an adjective to describe people without a fixed residence" and that reporters should use person-first language to "avoid the dehumanizing collective noun the homeless, instead using constructions like homeless people, people without housing or people without homes.”

  • US judge demoted after detaining teenage girl during field trip to courtroom
  • I was so, so waiting for consequences to finally reach this asshole. Reminder that this teenage student and her family *were experiencing homelessness and was apparently exhausted trying to meet all her responsibilities! She needed an advocate, not a bully. This is the type of person that demands respect from you, while not valuing you as a human, beyond considering what you can do for him. I hope he endures excruciating traffic cases until he is removed from the bench...

    EDIT: Changed to people-first language.

  • CBS News says it will be up to Vance and Walz to fact-check each other in veep debate
  • Extremists (hint: not Tim Walz) will be able to just spout lies the whole time, and rational, honest candidates: (hint: not JD Vance) will have to either let them get away with complete bullshit assertions, or spend part of their time doing the job of the moderators... This is why no one believes in Journalism these days...

  • Millennials know all about this. And the hate-mongers of today will die with nobody to remember them
  • That is frustrating. I would counter those people that being passionate is not the same thing as extremist media personalities that literally profit off outrage. It's okay to hear and react to things, but we shouldn't all be open fucking sores that flip out over literally every single thing we encounter like an autistic toddler: all emotion, no perspective, can't be reasoned with, etc. That's the Republican Outage Machine...

  • Is Google Maps getting worse?
  • Thank you. I'm not actually that old-school, but back in the day, the only directions that mattered were the changes. "Turn right on the dirt road, and follow it for about 35 miles. Turn right at the crazy magenta and black diner..."

  • Gig Souls?

Not sure if this is allowed, so feel free to remove:

My new favorite "fuck around" activity is to employ "gig phantoms". I summon a friendly phantom, then wave and run toward a dog or easy enemy. I point toward it, at which point they dispatch it! I then emote Joy, or Jump for joy, drop the Thank You carving, leave them 1 Ember, then send them home. If you haven't tried it, it's absolutely hilarious...

    WTF is a risa!?

Hello. It's hugely annoying to look at "community information" and find just an in-joke that won't make sense to most people, and no explanation of what this community is about. I'm sure that's fine for those already initiated, but I still don't know what "risa" means!

Don't worry, I also know you don't care that outsiders are kept out-of-the-loop and maybe even want to keep them out...? Well, that's fine; it's your community, but just a reminder that the casual browser will probably filter this community after several spammed posts that don't even clarify where their interests lie...

EDIT: Don't worry, I'm gone, and I've turned off reply notifications... I have even watched Star Trek! But don't fret, your caustic and hostile replies have ensured you're safe from the curiosity of myself and others, they won't bother you any more! Enjoy your gatekeeping...
