  • 🤷 Indeed until now it has been Europe cutting Russia and not the other way, but I find hard to believe Putin will not pull the trigger over a bunch of countries that have been pushing to follow the war until it's total defeat... or the dead of the last ucranian.
And this is regardless what you may or not think about the war, is a matter of common sense: do not feed your enemies.

  • “The longer gas prices stay elevated, the more likely a return to Russian gas flows of some sort through Ukraine becomes”... European arrogance striking again... they assume Russia will just resume deliveries just like that, because they say so... mind to ask their opinion first ?

  • Yeah, is thruth but we need to realise that russian strategy is not to seize territory. That's part of NATO's propaganda, which attrubutes the russian military objectives it does not has : "to conquer" ukraine and to "dominate" it, then, when those objectives will not be achieved (because not pursued), they can claim victory regardless the real result of the conflct.
Russia's objectives are very clear: de-nazification of Ukraine (also meaning stopping persecutions to russian-originary ukraine inhabitants) and to avoid ukraine to join the NATO. To get the donbass was not in plans but now that they got it, of course they will not give it back (also, because being part of Russia was the donbass people own expectatives).

  • Thing is, continuing like this they will only get to Ukraine's army to collapse, more sooner than later. So, more war means just more deaths but not a better output (I would argue for the opposite in fact).
I know so far is more an expression of hope than a reality, but I just think this (Ukraine's collapse) will happen not much time from now...
