Stuttgart Stadtbahn Tram, Stuttgart, Germany
  • This is just one specific line on a particularly steep hillside in Stuttgart therefore it has been built as a rack railway. It's known as the "Zacke" (German for tooth or prong) though officially it's just "U10"

There are two cars, going up and down at the same time, theres a station in the middle where they pass each other.

The stops are long enough to take your bike off of the bike cart. It isn't a particularly fast tram anyways. It also doesn't run at night because it runs extremely close to houses and it's comparatively loud.

It's a bit of an oddity because it's part of the normal public transport network and included in your ticket. There are only 3 other rack railways in Germany and those have been built purely for tourism and have their own fares.

  • Wildlife park taking high-risk approach to tackle parrots' swearing problem
  • They were most likely bread and raised in captivity. A lot of parrots raised that way can't even fly, let alone take care of themselves in the wild, let alone in Britain.

Being kept in a flock of 100 birds at a wildlife park is probably the next best situation these birds could've found themselves in and the closest to a natural habitat they'll be able to get.

  • Cities Skylines II Releases To Mostly Negative Reviews About Performance
  • It's not running great but also not terrible on my rig (3070ti, 12700K, everything on high). I've heard that the FPS in the menu is somehow worse than in game.

Gonna stick with my unfinished CS1 city for now since I am playing highly modded and aiming for a beautyfull city rather than actually playing the game..

  • How’re you all liking the game so far?
  • Performance isn't the best but I didn't really spend time optimising it in settings.

Love the scale of things. Wanted to plop down the international airport to see what it looks like and damn, that thing is enormous.

I think they should improve some of the visual indicators for roadsnapping, building placement etc. Getting roads to like up correctly is a bit finicky, when placing buildings it's hard to see what they are colliding with. Changing the direction on one-way roads should also just be a click like in CS1.

I'm going to stick with my unfinished CS1 city for now since I'm just going for a beautiful city with a bunch of mods but interested to see where CS2 ends up in a couple of years.

  • What will you do once windows 10 is deprecated and you have to update to windows 11 or 12?
  • I am running Win11(pro) because the new Intel CPUs require it.

It's completely fine. I use Firefox without edge annoying me. There are no apps that just pop up out of nowhere (that I know of). It's fine. I locked down all the temeletry shit like I did on Win10.

The only thing annoying me is the change in the preview in folder icons. I wanna see the pictures that are in the folder not the. xmp files Darktable creates.

  • Deleted
    REMOVED
  • While telemetry is bad the problem here is probably that this windows service pings the server but doesn't get a response because it got stuck in your pihole. So it tries to pings again and again and again and again...

  • Humble Bundle - Build Today Plan For Tomorrow
  • CS2 is also going to be missing a lot of the features CS1 has. Like bikes. It's gonna need some time and DLCs for it to get more features.

While I'm incredibly excited for CS2, I think CS1 is still a worthwhile buy for a long time, especially at that price.
