Holy run-on sentences. I agree with you, but it was done, it's already in the museums. Signing petitions and raising awareness of agencies/museums that are trying to get the stuff back is probably a better way to funnel your frustrations.
Just because Egypt is in Africa doesn't automatically make Egyptians black. Look at a map. Northern Africa and Egypt were just as much part of southern Europe and the Middle East.
Pretty sure I see sexual harassment headlines in the US everyday.
Neither is Pennsylvania, this map is way off.
"Term of service"? Shmerms of shmervice. Fuck all the way off, there's a hundred other games that we can be playing.
The developers have acknowledged the problem and say they're working on a fix.
No thank you.
I'm not trying to be a dick but I'm genuinely curious why you would want a portable monitor to use with your portable deck?
With amount of times I have have to write down my address for work, I would love to live in donkey town.
Pretty sure the votes don't work on the ads. Why would they, every ad would get down voted into oblivion and not show up on people's feeds. It reminds me of the fake comments on Facebook ads. "Pre-ordered my shwami blankets, can't wait!"
More of their bullshitery. I had the audacity to use my browser to click a reddit link.
This is why I had to block them from my home feed. Way too many random posts that, because of the nature of the "rule", aren't very interesting.
That's what I was thinking too. I might have to play around with the settings.
It's FF mobile on the s24+, whatever cpu this has should be able to handle it.
Looks like I get "Firefox suggestions" in both, but search engine specific suggestions only in normal tabs. It gives me an option to turn that on in private. Would that be the culprit? I'll try to turn it off and see.
Edit: turned it off, and doesn't seem to change anything. Private tabs are still noticably faster.
Nightly shows around 2.5% The other 3 are all under 1%
Only using ublock, and turning it off doesn't help. I have ublock enabled in private tabs too so I don't think that would be the issue.
I'm using Firefox mobile and pulling up any webpage is very slow. One of the big things is searching using the address bar, has a load time of at least 10 seconds (using ddg as default). Switching default search engines does not help.
One thing of note is that in a private tab, everything works normally. I tested multiple times using the same method as above.
Hopefully this can be remedied with a simple settings tweak.
I didn't even know 196 was a thing on Reddit but I blocked them on Lemmy because my main page was all spam from them. None of it was funny to me, or entertaining at all. It's the only community I have blocked too.
I've also noticed that I'm losing interest in gaming recently. Whenever I get notified by steam that something on my wishlist is on sale I just look at it and move on. I started playing chess again for the first time since I was I kid and it's been keeping me satisfied.
Bottom right is Levy aka Gotham Chess on YouTube. Top right is another famous YouTuber, I forget her name but she recently won chess streamer of the year (maybe last year).
I never used Twitter. Reddit was the only social media I engaged/posted on for years, moved to Lemmy a couple months ago. I made an account on Mastodon, downloaded moshidon, followed a bunch of hashtags, now I don't know what to do. Do I just start posting "Facebook status" type posts? Is Mastodon basically like individual Lemmy comment threads with hashtags being the main post?
Now I know how my parents feel when I try to explain anything outside of Facebook to them.
Generative artificial intelligence platforms, from ChatGPT to Midjourney, grabbed headlines in 2023. But GenAI can do more than create collaged images and help write emails—it can also design new drugs to treat disease.
Note: It's not ChatGPT but a similar algorithm.
Was trying to checkmate in the middle of the board but had my queen too close.
