They did
- It's good, and best live service is a low bar, but shit they need to hammer out bugs like a Japanese mochi duo.
  
  I've played about 20 hours and experienced at least half a dozen crashes or bugs that caused me to restart the game.
  
  If they want the crown, there's a few things that need fixing.
  
  Yeah the crashes and bugs have been the one thing that I noticed was wrong with the game, it gets mildly annoying crashing randomly because you did something random like change settings while in a match or just crashing after you finish a mission for no apparent reason... other bugs too have been annoying but game-breaking bugs usually aren't as frequent as crashes I think. The worst I've experienced was objectives that were already completed being marked on the map like they weren't completed.
  
  I don't know about windows, but on linux the game no longer crashes if you set it to run with dx11 instead of 12 using the --use-d3d11 launch option.
  
  Obviously it shouldn't be crashing either way, but maybe a workaround on windows too?

Does anyone know why when I go to auto play I only ever get paired with another person, usually at the end of the game?
- I have a lot of success starting a mission and hanging out in my ship for a min. People usually pop in. If that fails, I SOS as soon as I drop into a planet.
  
  You mean just start and don't deploy until someone randomly pops up?
I'm still slightly annoyed I had to create a Playstation account on PC though.

  Are you telling me I fell for an enshittified "suggestion" to link the account? Sigh, was supposed to happen eventually. At least I only gave them fake data.

- Ha! I also turned off cross play as the function was nothing but causing me issues. Never looked back.
