Yard Act - Where’s My Utopia?

This album is a pleasant surprise for me! Their debut a few years ago was basic post-punk, which I liked, but it wasn't really special. This album takes that post-punk foundation and throws a bunch of other stuff at it and it works for me. Some really interesting stuff going on here. Check it out!

  • Great album front to back, but the final two tracks, Blackpool Illuminations especially, cap it off masterfully. Early AOTY contender for me, closely followed by Nadine Shah's Filthy Underneath.

    • Agreed. I don't understand a lot of the criticism this album is getting on sites like RYM. The lead singer is perfect for the witty, sarcastic lines
