I could hear ours rummaging around, discussing the letter left by Santa and the amount of presents, while I gradually came to. Was fully expecting them to rush in at some point to get us out of bed, but no. When I worked up the strength to get up, I found them both eating cereal, fully dressed, with their hair brushed. Little angels ♥️
The cats really upped their present game this year - a puke in the laundry, and a puke on the coffee table (looks like it was gifted while running, given the impressive spread). I'm not very grateful. Good thing they're cute!
Merry Christmas! My Mum often gets presents of half a rabbit (wild hare) and entrails spread across the room. I feel lucky not to have a cat! At least the dog will clean up is own puke.
Oooof, yeah at least this 'present' was just cat biscuits that were likely just gobbled up too quickly, rather than anything that was recently alive. Small mercies!
For Christmas I got food poisoning, yay. Not feeling too miserable but a bit guilty that we've now left Mum on her own when she loves all the hype of the day. Have rescheduled for tomorrow when a few more family members will be able to make it.
Merry Christmas 🎄 we were supposed to have a no gift Christmas because there's no kids anymore but someone always ends up bringing gifts and then everyone else feels bad cause they have nothing to give in return.
The great thing about teens is it's all mellowed out a bit (and they're still able to reach back to the earlier nostalgia and excitement), so it's been very chill.
Did my first ever BBQ today, vege sausages for me and pork for the rest of the family. There were a few hiccups on the way but daughter said they were the best sausages ever so I think that's $300 well spent.
