Miyoo teases their GBA SP inspired retro handheld

Rumor has it that it's an RK3566 powered device, so systems before PSP, DC, and N64 will work fine, but those three will be a mixed bag.

I would be interested, depending on the price. Closed shell design means it can be tossed into a bag without worrying about scratching the screen.
- I'd be worried about the unit being scratched ¯(ツ)/¯
  
  A scratched unit still works. A broken screen renders it pretty much useless.

These sticks look super uncomfortable to use though
- I always found the SP super uncomfortable to hold compared to the original GBA, it's made for kid-sized hands.
  
  I have big hands and the SP is comfy to use, just need to rest your pinkies under the console

I hope somebody in 10 years will make a good 3DS-inspired handheld, well maybe except 3D aspect.

If it works best with older systems, then why the thumb sticks i wonder. Hope they can bump up the power for at least n64 and psp. That would be so nice.
- Because they are selling the product the customers think they are getting, not the one that they actually get. I guarantee that a device with thumb sticks and lousy performance will sell better than one without sticks and with better performance.
  
  Hope for better, but expect worse. But that form factor has me hooked.

I picked up a Miyoo Mini Plus earlier this year as an impulse buy, and ended up liking it enough that I regret not buying a higher end model with analog sticks. Still, don't know if it's worth trying to upgrade now - I'm waiting for the day we can get a full SteamOS device in this form factor.
- it's not really needed since the only thing that has an analog stick that it can emulate is a PS1.
- What games do you play on it?

looks alright color scheme is a bit gaudy and not a huge fan of the big miyoo logo. they can do better than this, i think. i have the miyoo mini plus and really enjoy it so have high hopes.
