2.5 Gbe question...

I am setting up a home network which has pfsense in a Qotom mini pc which then goes to a Unifi Lite 8 POE managed switch. A Unifi Pro 6 WAP is on the switch and I was planning on just using that swtich for everything. Going 2.5 for a managed switch wasn't in the budget right now. I'm wondering if I can get a 2.5. Gbe unmanaged switch to sit behind the Unifi switch for my PC and NAS and get 2.5 out of it or does the whole network up to the router need to be 2.5 to get 2.5? Thank you.
