Sync is less demanding on my battery than other Lemmy apps
I've noticed my battery hasn't drained nearly as fast while using Sync compared to other Lemmy apps. Has anyone else had the same experience?
No but it wouldn't surprise me.
As much as I like the Jerboa and Liftoff apps, the ones I have used other than sync, They're laggy on my pixel 7 where sync is butter smooth. Means to me they're likely acting inefficiently somehow.
OLED mode saves battery over here.
Definitely less battery intensive compared to Voyager. Makes sense, I would assume a PWA, a new and somewhat unoptimized one at that, uses more juice than a well optimized native app.
Using Infinity here and it's very good on battery too. I'm also surprised how smooth and customizable it is.
The thing is that, I don't know how but Sync handles the RAM better, so it doesn't reload as frequently as any other app, which lends to less battery consumption.
Huh, I think you're right. My battery has been holding up better recently, and that may very well be why.
