Bit idea: Have a struggle session about something that nobody will get banned for
If even one of you gets a post removed during one of these bit struggle sessions you failed the bit and should feel immense shame. Doing a bit successfully is Praxis.
Find things to struggle about that doesn't get out of hand. It's important to let off some steam now and again but do it in a way that doesn't harm your fellow comrades or add work to the mod team.
I'll start: Some beans are better than other beans. Like kidney beans are bad nasty icky beans but black beans are actually amazing.
At a therapeutic dose methamphetamine, aka Desoxyn, is less neurotoxic than other stimulant medications which are used to treat ADHD (and potentially other conditions but that's more speculative and off the beaten path for psychiatry) and this is important because it provides a much-needed alternative for situations where the more conventional stimulant meds are not tolerated or ineffective for any number of reasons. Honestly if it weren't for the stigma there's a good chance that on the basis of risk of harm to the patient and effectiveness, Desoxyn would be given preference over Adderall and lisdexamphetamine.
The discovery of methamphetamine and the widespread usage of it, aka Pervitin, critically undermined the Nazi war effort because they were able to utilise it to achieve early gains and it allowed for pushing Nazi soldiers to run on virtually no food, both of which looked good on paper especially in the early stages of the war but it was entirely unsustainable and so it made the top brass of the Nazi armed forces completely overestimate their abilities, thus leading them to overextend themselves and especially to overextend their soliders which led to a paper tiger effect where the Nazis appeared to be much more threatening but, when facing stiff resistance, they tended to crumble.
Destigmatize and legalize all drugs and then provide proper health care for people who use them and probably all drugs have some redeemable qualities.
Meth is really only a "bad" drug because of who primarily uses it and how it's made but both of those are pretty much intentional systemic issues rather than an issue with the drug itself
Methamphetamine is a really interesting test case because most people will be comfortable with opioids, despite the issues they cause due to addiction and abuse, because they also have therapeutic value but when you drop the idea that meth is in a similar boat - good therapeutic value despite serious issues with addiction and abuse - it tends to sit really uncomfortably with a lot of people.
My lifelong war against purchasing water has driven me to use bars of soap, and my body (and hair) couldn't be happier with the choice. I don't have luscious locks though
Okay I haven't tried this. Is it basically puffed kidney beans? Liked puffed rice? Is this actually good or is this part of the bit because I would totally try this
I think that puffing requires high pressure, sort of like a pressure cooker, to achieve except in the case of popcorn because it's capable of achieving a similar level of pressurisation through the kernel that you'd get from a pressure cooker.
In the air fryer I'd expect them to come out like those roasted chickpea snacks that you can sometimes get.
They don't puff up, but I think they're pretty good with a roasted crunch. Make sure to rinse them, then add salt and a bit of oil. Afterwards you can cover them in seasoning or sauce.
Yes! Recently I've been having tons of bean wraps with air fried beans covered in hot sauce and mixed with fresh onion, tomatoes, and lettuce. The beans gain a somewhat substantial texture, so they aren't just mush lol
I've tried 3 times and never managed to get more than a couple hours into it. If Dark Souls 2 is like a fan-game that misses the point of the original, FFX-2 is like one of those bizarre total conversion mods that misses not only the point but also fundamentally fucks up the gameplay loop and is written by a 16 year old with a really sick fanfiction idea
It's like a fangame made by people who thought the point of dark souls was to be really unfair and kill you a lot
It's amateurish and haphazardly designed, and the story/lore has nothing to do with the quite broad and unexplored world set up in the lore of Dark Souls
It fails as a sequel narratively and in gameplay, and it fails as an independent game gameplay-wise too, especially after the following couple years when the soulslike market was flooded with a thousand better entries
I don't think the beautiful slow-paced story full of mystery and wonder and discovery is "BS" that needed to be cut out, so I guess there's the core of the disagreement
pretty much every single profession that needs to measure things (i.e. carpenters, construction, engineering, soldiers, etc.) uses metric. this customary measurement thing is a 4chan meme with no basis in reality and betrays a serious lack of participation in or knowledge of the daily realities of actual physical work or science. the USSR used metric. China uses metric. Cuba uses metric. The only countries which do not use metric are Liberia, Myanmar, and the USA. the 'foot' is not actually as long as most people's foot, it is defined the same arbitrary way as metric lengths, via standardization to a specified measure (often a specific amount and configuration of some material in some specific conditions) with an international institutions decree.
actually, a "foot" and other imperial measurements are now defined by metric measurements, so they don't have to haul around their stupid metal bars in specific temperatures to check
Fahrenheit is based on humans, Celsius is based on water.
0F is about as cold as the average person can handle (with warm clothes), 100F is about as hot as the average person can handle. 100 is of course also about our internal body temperature.
Fahrenheit also divides nicely into groups of 10s. "The temperature is going to be in the 80s today, so wear light clothes."
Meanwhile in Celsius, at 0 you have to put on a medium coat, at 100 you're literally boiling alive.

When I get high I turn into my alter ego and he hates woke people and loves giving wrong directions to old ladies trying to get around construction work.
