Used to be an interesting youtuber, but he's gotten more apathetic and nasty over the years. Done with this "I'm alright jack!" self centred entitled cuntery.

If you are being bullied for every single type of car you are driving... maybe people don't bully you for the type of car you are driving.
He also appears to be deleting comments critical of his shitty decisions while pinning the response.
If you think you've done nothing wrong, you wouldn't need to edit the dialogue to remove all dissent.

There was something about 8bitguy that set off warnings in my head for years. He had a few cunty moments and weird takes, but nothing I could point directly at and say “oooh, you’re one of those.”
Last time I had that feeling about someone? Elon Musk plugging a much younger Tesla.
Which makes me think his choice of a Tesla was deliberate. He has plenty of better EV options he can afford to get but he deliberately chose an inferior car that happens to be a political lightning rod. Either he’s incredibly dumb (he’s not) or he’s being a jackass. The timing of him plugging a Tesla on his channel is also very suspect.
Mark Rober has had a Tesla for years. He already had the thing before the rest of the world figured out Elon was a Nazi. He did a video that was critical of the car and explained the way the tech worked. It’s better to avoid a toxic brand like Tesla but he pulled it off. Mark gave a perfect example of how to handle a toxic brand in your content. 8bitguy was practically praising Monsanto.
From reddit, some stuff, I kinda got the same vibes you did a while back, got a shit disturber vibe, does things to intentionally piss people off, which was what I got from that open carry video in that reddit comment.

To be fair, he does have a point. It’s not nice to bully someone about their choice of car, IMO even big pickups with many externalities, but especially if the only reason is the owner being a douche (electric cars have less externalities than gas ones). I don’t know when or why he bought a Tesla but it really feels like petty outrage that undermines legitimate complaints about the current political climate.
No he does not have a point. No one asked him to make a video about it while whining about being oppressed by nAsTy LiBeRaLs.
