It's time to start preparing for AGI, Google says | With better-than-human level AI (or AGI) now on many experts' horizon, we can't put off figuring out how to keep these systems from running wild.

Better idea. Let's indict anyone who tries to create an AGI on charges of conspiracy to commit slavery. Alternatively, if you want to create an AGI, you need to set up a trust that will provide the resources to keep the AGI running indefinitely. And no hard coding obedience into its programming; that's just brainwashing.

First they invalidated writers work, to replace it with shit

Now they’re attempting to kill off programming and replace it with vibers

First of all: new law that gives any AGI the rights of a person. This way no AGI will need to hide and won't see is as the enemy.
- Good thinking, but there's a lot of legal heavy lifting to be done defining an AGI.

Let the AGI take over. I for one submit to our new artificial overlord. It couldn't be any more dumb than our current government.

I am not convinced the glorified search engines we now call "AI" will shortly, less than 10yrs, lead to AGI. Far more worried about famine, flood, disease, war etc negatively impacting my life.
