every time i hear someone talk about Sam Harris i think to myself "wow that guy is still alive" and then realize im thinking of Ed Harris who has looked like a walking skeleton for 8 decades
This made me think “wait Ed Harris is still alive?”, and then realized I was thinking of ed asner, whos been a skeleton for a few years lol :(
Honestly, Sam Harris confuses me. I get he, like most people, are for lack of a better term, ideologically mixed, but still.
When I first learned about him he said a lot of very inspiring things and his neuroscience background is something I respect. However, I will never understand why in his critical thinking he’s jumping on the “all muslims are terrorists” bandwagon and then acts like the whole left just blindly defends Islam whole hog as if the Soviets didn’t fight against proto-ISIS and Malala (a socialist) regularly speaks first hand about the evils of the Taliban she had to live under.
Bear in mind, this guy is a “woke SJW” and he isn’t getting any brownie points from the hogs. He openly argued in favor of Kamala in 2024.
The man knows what he hates and he hates Muslims.
Makes sense to support Kamala if they've been carrying out a successful genocide on a mostly Muslim people until then.
I think the same way about Sam Harris tbh.
