Scarlett Johansson calls for deepfake ban after AI video goes viral
Johansson is speaking out about the “misuse” of AI.
Who’s gonna be the first to say:
_That’s disgusting.
Where?_
It is linked in the article. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DF8IKiLIfXD/
Probably someone who didn't read the article and see the video in it.
Oh, it's not, "that kind" of deepfake video...
Wow. I look forward to a bunch of the featured celebrities remaking this deep fake, to make it real.
I give even odds that Adam Sandler or Jack Black gets their bit done first.
Anyway, I wish Scarlett would focus her creative energy on creating her one woman show: Scarlet Johansson: As Chris Grace
.
I don't see this as being specific to AI. AI facilitates production as a tool, but the images are defamatory and contain hate speech no matter how they're generated.
There is video too.
I don't mean still images; I mean like visual media. Sorry if that's confusing wording.
Has she consider just being less attractive?
/S obviously
I mean, she’s right. But, the imagine in the article that she’s referring to could easy have been photoshopped.
And the video that the article is about? https://www.instagram.com/reel/DF8IKiLIfXD/
Oh shoot, didn’t see the video, just the screenshot.
I think the real answer here is to ignore it. Yes people are going to use AI to make videos about whatever they want. Whoever they want. Doing whatever they want them to be doing.
What will happen pretty quickly (and is already sorta happening) is people will assume all videos are fake. At that point celebrities could just start "leaking" their own videos and then claiming them to be faked. Eventually nobody will be able to tell anyways.
Gooners gonna goon.
I have already had to correct several family members that have fallen for AI videos, pictures and "news articles".
Your last sentence completely contradicts the point you're trying to make in your first.
Your family members fall for AI and believe what it shows to be real, but celebs should ignore it anyway?
