"Failed to show up" makes it seem like he just refused to come but he seems to be seriously ill from what the producers say. I wish him the best.
- Yeah everything mentioned makes me think this is serious like cancer level serious.
I only know him from The IT Crowd. I hope he's OK.

He cared about that show just as much as I did, it seems
- I watched the first episode and it was amusing whimsy but certainly nothing special. I didn't bother with the rest of the series.
