How does he just announce crunch when everyone in the community is pushing for this abuse of workers to stop. Guess because he's just the biggest egomaniac in this industry
Is it possible that it's something lost in translation, and he just means the final stretch with all hands on deck situation, without the negative over-working connotation?
I don't follow him though, so no idea what he actually means.
Over-working is a common thing in Japan in general (this is oversimplifying things of course). So I wouldn't be sure the anti crunch movement has reached Japan's part of the industry fully.
I haven't seen every studio ghibli movie, but I thought the boy and the heron was pretty good: I liked it a lot more than whisper of the heart for example, but not as much as princess monoko, spirited away, my neighbour totoro, or howls moving castle.
I thought it was about on par with Ponyo.
Are there any you'd recommend that are better apart from those?
