The Red Bull driver takes aim at his critics following his own condemnation of his team’s race strategy plus reaction to his clash with Lewis Hamilton in Hungary
When things don't go his way, aggressive mode comes on again sadly. Seems it's getting worse too. Wouldn't be surprised if he moves on to Le Mans or something else within the next 2 years.
I think it’s more that he doesn’t like when the other driver doesn’t just yield and let him pass. Lewis is one of a few drivers (Also Norris in Austria) that will fight hard with Verstappen, even giving him a taste of his own medicine sometimes.
I don't even think he was shafted on strategy particularly. He went much longer, was able to put the faster mediums on for a shorter period at the end and should have finished 3rd if he wasn't so busy being an angry, stroppy child.
Dude got that temper from his father and grandfather. Both pieces of shits. His dad emotionally abused Max when things didn’t go his way during Max’s karting days. Jos even punched his own dad. At least Max is a okay guy of track while his dad is an asshole all year round.
Who would have though that the Red Bull's downfall would be so entertaining. Though that isn't even the downfall yet, Max is still leading the championship with a comfortable gap. Lewis was much more moderate in his criticism after 7 years of domination. Maybe there's more behind the scenes, including the treatment of his father and Marko.
I miss the aggressive Verstappen, I know it is toxic but Redbull climbed the throne by being ungentlemanly. The weekend was a shit show, I just love how entertaining it was. Rooting for Redbull last year was boring as hell
Max is no leader. He's a fast driver in a fast car, but he shows zero leadership qualities. He's a spoilt child surrounded by Yes people. He can't rouse the troops, talk inspirationally, engineer solutions or ensure he gets the best out of people. He can throw his toys out of the pram and be a dick. That's not leadership.
Who do you mean with leader? Max is not a leader. That's why he cannot just change things as he wants. Max has been complaining for ages about the direction of the team.
I see mostly as cause the passing away of Dietrich Mateschitz. That started the in fighting to get more influence and power instead of people working together. I'm guessing Dietrich would've handled the harassment case much earlier and much better. Before Newey you had a designer leave for McLaren. I'm guessing the team was toxic for longer than it was publicly noticeable.
I like drama in Formula 1, but this is unneeded drama. Similar to McLaren creating drama by giving Norris an undercut. I like drama, but it needs to be good, these things feel like a terrible tv drama show level of fake drama :-(
Max doesn't just show up and put in a driving shift over the race weekend and then clock off on Sunday. Of course he's leader within the team. He may not be the leader but he's a super important part of the team. Any driver in his position would be. Same with Hamilton same with Alonso, same with Lecrec. They're all leaders and role models in their team.

Yes I agree. Red Bull, to me, has always had that image.
