Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claims Russian forces are burning the faces of dead North Korean soldiers to hide their involvement in Ukraine.
He says North Koreans are now being deployed in significant numbers, particularly in Russia’s Kursk region, where 200 have reportedly been killed or wounded.
The U.S. confirmed indications of North Korean casualties, while South Korea imposed sanctions on officials and entities involved in North Korea-Russia military cooperation.
That you're trying to claim that I've said things that I did not. I'm saying that radio free Asia is CIA propaganda that puts a western slant on their propaganda.
Mentioning that in this context does give the distinct impression you want to cast doubt on the fact that NK conscripts are being employed by russia though. Why else would you mention that here?
Does it? I think this person suggests that this media outlet is making shit up. As to why mention it - because making them cartoonishly evil diminishes the weight of what they've really done - among other things.
The article literally just quotes a few leaders like the hundreds of other articles on this topic. The fact none of you even read it and can’t seem to do anything but attack the source doesn’t exactly suggest good faith. I suppose every comment not talking about the burning faces is a distraction.
Quotes their comments on the presence of nk troops, not on the implied systematic face burning. And then they admit they cannot verify the video. It's the fucking buryats all over again
And yet it could still be true information that you're disagreeing with simply because the source is propaganda. You do understand that propaganda and falsehoods are not the same thing, yes?
It could be in there a dozen times and it doesn't make it true. They've lied to us continually and have a history of lying over decades to manufacture public consent for war.
They are talking about .ml unironically, outright saying the truth - that .ml is a pure tankie propaganda instance and 99% of the time someone from there comes out to spout unsupported claims, get into a "PROVE MY EXTRAODINARY CLAIMS AREN'T TRUE" argument, loses it immediately and still tries to excuse a murderous regime literally melting the faces of their soldiers so they couldn't be recognized by anyone.
Uh huh, meanwhile you are the "enlightened one" immune to any propaganda.
Dude, I saw firsthand what ruskies do to people and countries. I don't need an edgy teen going "no, u" thinking they have anything worthy of writing out.
I'm betting you are under the assumption that I am defending Russia. Being critical of bullshit lies from US propaganda is not an endorsement of the other side.
On Monday, President Zelensky posted drone footage on Telegram that showed a number of men taking cover behind trees, saying they were North Korean troops who had just taken part in an assault on a Ukrainian position.
He also posted footage which he said showed Russian troops trying to conceal the presence of North Koreans on the battlefield by using a campfire to burn the faces of those who had been killed.
All you had to do was read the article and you didn't bother because you're too convinced you're right and all of these sources are lying.
I don't even have a horse in this race, but it's kinda crazy how badly people seem to want to believe this one crazy detail of an already unbelievable conflict
a: they're paraphrasing zelenski there, and,
b:
The BBC has not independently verified the claims.
They're all reporting on the same tweet, it's not surprising that none of them have been able to verify it
Great comeback. When people are quoting the literal CIA funded outlet Radio Free Asia as a source, which is known for making outrageous claims against any enemy of America without evidence, say "Russia and China bad" and poof everything is proven.
Except there are multiple pictures of it happening, plenty of analysis on youtube and a shitload of other sources. But sure, in delululand, when you don't see anything it doesn't exist.
